K-Y Jelly is probably everyone's first experience with lubrication; although it wasn't this exact lube, I know that K-Y was definitely my first lubricant. The great thing about K-Y is that their products can found almost anywhere in the U.S. and in almost every store, too.

I have never experienced any unpleasant smells, but it does leave quite a bit of stickiness after use. If you're looking for a lube for shower or bathtub use, this isn't what you're going to want to buy. It is water-based, hypo-allergenic, and is clear. However, some of the ingredients can cause some sensitivity for some women. This lube is also unflavored and unscented, and has a very thick texture.

K-Y comes in a small white box with the ingredients and logo directly on the box. It looks exactly like the container the lube is actually in. It has a flat cap making it easier for distribution; I suggest only a small dollop for application, but you will probably need to reapply after a couple of minutes of actual penetration. The lube comes out easily and appears thick but really smooths out when you actually apply it. It has almost upside-down packaging that makes it easy to store by the bedside; it is also small enough to fit into your toy box, or to be hidden away in a drawer.

The husband and I both enjoy the feeling of this lubricant. It really gives us the extra little push we all need every now and again. We both agree that it could be a little less sticky, and that it could also last a little longer. There are definitely better lubes in distribution; however, K-Y is a good, simple lubricant that I think everyone should own. A great starting point, and good enough even for the most experienced.

My husband and I use this very often, and it's definitely our go-to with toys and anal play.

Although K-Y isn't the best we all have come to have it in our collection and probably still do. It will probably always be a staple because of its so many uses.
