K-Y jelly by K-Y Brand - review by Nissa Nissa

K-Y jelly is well known as the "go to" personal lubricant. It's sold everywhere. I picked mine up at the local grocery store nestled next to their version. It's best used as intended; for lubrication. It works for anyone who isn't feeling the mood at any given time and might want to jump into a quickie; or someone biting off a bit more than they could chew in the toy department; or maybe even someone who wants a bit more slip in their slide.

K-Y Jelly feels a bit like cold jello when first out of the tube. After being warmed by your fingertips, it achieves a silky smooth consistency. It's easy to squirt out of the tube unless it's a bit old. I've had mine for a little over a year and as time takes a toll on the stuff it seems to separate slightly.

On first taste it has a very subtle, yet sweet oily taste; nothing too offensive or noticeable. I doubt it's really meant to be ingested like candy. The smell is light and powdery, but you have to really get in close to catch a whiff of that.

The K-Y Jelly doesn't last too long, but that could also be a plus. It's slick and does seem to help out quite a bit, but it's not to the point of causing me to slide around for the rest of the night. It's easy to wash up, just wipe it off. It doesn't leave any thick uncomfortable residue. I think it's the old reliable choice when you can't run out and get something better.
