Not yet gel by Doc Johnson - review by Cori

I'll start of by saying my man does not have an erectile dysfunctions. There are just times when I wish he would've lasted a little bit longer. I figured the Not Yet gel from Doc Johnson might be a nice to use once in a blue moon - even if it just serves as a hint to my boyfriend I want a longer sack session.

Purpose: Not Yet is a delay gel for men. It is meant to help in the prevention of premature ejaculation. In short, it is a male genital desensitizer.

Packaging: The gel comes in a small box. The front reads (in rather large lettering) NOT YET, and next to it the words "delay gel for men" with a red stop hand. The top opening flap says docjohnson.com. The bottom panel has the official Doc Johnson twitter, facebook, and myspace listed as well as stating "for warranty information and product registration" visit their website. The back panel lists the ingredients and warnings.

The .1/2 OZ tube is nestled inside the box. The tube says "Not Yet delay gel for men" on the front in white. The back panel has directions for use, warnings, and the ingredients.



Ingredients: (Active) Benzocaine 7.5%

Carbomer, Flavor (Aroma), Propylene Glycol, Red 33 (CI 17200), Red 40 (CI 16035), Sodium Saccharin, Triethanolimine, Water (Aqua)

Benzocaine is a desensitizer. Carbomer is a thickening agent. Propylene Glycol is a solvent.

Directions: This is a topical gel. All you need to do is apply a small sized amount to the head and shaft of the penis about 10 minutes before contact. We only used a pea-sized amount.

Warnings/Cautions: This gel is for external use only. If you develop a rash or irritation occurs, discontinue use. And do not get it in your eyes! Also, it is important to wash this gel off after use with warm water and soap. This gel can be used with a condom.



Taste/Aroma: This gel is not meant to be ingested. And I would highly recommend keeping your tongue and mouth away from the penis after applying the gel. The benzocaine is a desensitizing agent and will numb you - and leave a bitter taste in your mouth.

Not Yet smells like artificial cherries to me - when I practically stick the tube up my nose. Otherwise, the scent is very subtle and most likely unnoticeable.

The Gel: The gel is fairly thick and not runny. It reminds me of a tube of lipgloss. The gel stays put nicely and absorbs very quickly. However, it takes a few minutes for the numbing action to take place (if at all). I did find that it leaves a very slightly sticky residue behind but it shouldn't be too bothersome. I have sensitive skin so I washed my hands after application.

Overall: Doc Johnson's Not Yet gel is a great idea but after reading plenty of reviews and our own experiences I feel like this gel might work for some and not others. I don't know whether this is a mental thing or what but I digress. My man said he felt no numbness at all.
