Please cream lubricant - water based lube by Pleasure Works - review by Starlight Requiem

Please is a good lube for masturbation, or for use with toys. Given its water-based nature, it can work well with silicone toys. I believe it would work well for just about any individual, in any situation, whether it be in a solo interaction, date night, or even at a play party.

However, it is an easy lube to rinse away, meaning you should use a bit of caution with it for shower, tub, or pool sex. A bit of running water can easily strip it away from your skin. It doesn't seem to have the best taste either, though no mention is made on the container about whether or not you can use it with oral stimulation.

As advertised on the bottle, Please has a silky feeling to the touch, without anything in the way of an oily residue. It's a bit thicker than milk, and able to hold itself together nicely. A dab on the back of my hand was able to stay nearly in place until it was fully vertical. At that angle it barely moved a bit towards my wrist, but overall it stayed in place.

Given the nature of the bottle top, while Please is somewhat easy to pour, squeezing the bottle is sometimes necessary to get it out. Squeezing too hard can cause too much of the lube to emerge, so caution is necessary. After rinsing the lube away with water, there is very little to no residue remaining. This makes it great for cleanup time and those discreet play times.

The taste doesn't really work well. Since the bottle makes no mention of whether you should, or should not, taste it, I would tend to avoid trying. However, it may just be that everyone would react differently to the taste.

The smell is a bit unusual. It's very mild, to the point I had to hold it to my nose to even detect it was there. The aroma itself is somewhat hard to identify. I get the sensation of sweetness, and maybe the white color makes me think of the glaze on certain kinds of grocery store donuts. Yet at the same time, there is a faint hint of citrus that I can't seem to place.

A little goes a long way with Please. I found that a few drops were enough to give the Grace a good coating. It stayed through my play session with the toy, and was still easy to detect on the toy afterwards. It was easy to just rinse it off and wipe it dry. I found this to be particularly useful, as some lubricants I've tried tend to want to resist water and stay in place.

I suppose one downside would be for those who enjoy using lube for shower or tub play. I don't see anything wrong with Please being used in that capacity, with a few precautions: turning away from the shower stream to prevent the lube from being rinsed away, and inserting the toy before you slip below water, would help a lot.

I received the bottle wrapped in a plastic sheath. There were no instructions given with it. It does list the ingredients and information about the company that makes the item, but little more than that.

The bottle itself is easy to use. It has the same top as a lot of shampoo bottles, in which you press down on one side and the other pops up to allow the lube to flow out. The design on the label is fairly mild, with simple colors and swirls.

For discretion, I'd say it depends largely on the type of inspection it's given. Just glancing at the bottle, it looks like nothing more than a lotion bottle and could easily be slipped in among such things. Of course, if it were picked up and examined more closely, one could read the text on it. Since it says it's a lubricant on one side, and lists things such as long lasting, silky texture, etc. on the other, most would be able to tell what it was for.

Overall, I fairly enjoy Please. It has a relatively low price tag, and overall it functions nicely as a lubricant. The smell is unobtrusive, which is important to me. Some smells I just cannot stand, and a lubricant with low smell, or none at all, will always be chosen over one with a bad smell, or smell I just don't like.

I had a very positive experience using the lube. My Grace vibrator inserted very easily with just a little of this product, and cleanup afterward was a breeze; something I'm always looking for. Since it rinses away so easily, it also works well for simple masturbation, unlike some of the others I've tried which required a rough towel to scrub them away.
