Lubricant discontinued

Yes, please!

This might not be the lube for you if you're looking for something long-lasting that won't require reapplication. However, the texture feels great, and it is very different from most water-based lubes. If you prefer creamy lubes that feel more like lotion than water, this might be one to consider!

Use

This is a great water-based lubricant, and it is suitable for use with toys of any material, vaginal sex (even with condoms or other contraceptives), anal sex, or manual stimulation with fingers.

It is paraben and glycerin free. It also contains no animal ingredients, so it's vegan!

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Please is a little different than other water-based lubricants that I've seen; it feels much more like a lotion (the bottle actually labels it as "cream") than water. The details on Eden's product page lists it as clear, but it looks more white to me, almost like VO5 hair conditioner. I rubbed it into my skin and the sensation was one of watered-down lotion. It definitely softened my hands a little bit, but not to the point that they were greasy afterwards. It washes away very easily with water, so this is probably not the best choice for sex in a shower, hot tub, or pool.

I love the texture a lot, and the fact that it doesn't stain toys or fabrics is a huge plus. The downside is that you may find yourself having to apply it several times, since it does get absorbed into the skin pretty easily.

Taste / Aroma

The bottle doesn't say that it's edible, but I tried a little for the purposes of the review. It doesn't taste great, and it's nothing I'd recommend eating (even if it was labelled as safe!). There is a slightly sweet taste that's not entirely unpleasant, and the flavor is not particularly strong.

The smell is incredibly faint. I can't smell anything when I put my nose up to the bottle, but once I rubbed it into my skin, it smelled very, very faintly of a mild chemical smell -- maybe something akin to a faint packaging odor on a new product. It's so faint that I can't imagine it would irritate anyone, even someone with a very sensitive nose.
    • Light smell
    • Light taste

Performance

I tried this while masturbating (with my fingers, a silicone toy, and a TPR toy), and it worked well for all three. I naturally produce a lot of lubrication, so I didn't have to reapply once I got started.

I also used it while giving a handjob, and I did have to stop halfway through to reapply. Like many water-based lubricants, this doesn't last an incredibly long time, but using more does seem to help prolong its longevity.

This washes off very easily with water. Once I even rubbed it onto my arm, and it didn't leave any sort of residue. I absolutely love the texture of this product and feel that it more than makes up for the fact that you might have to reapply it in the middle of your activities. However, if you're someone who would rather not have to put everything on hold to put on more lube, you may want to look at a silicone-based lubricant instead.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural
    • Reapply often

Packaging

I ordered the 2oz bottle. It came in a classy-looking bottle that is fairly discreet. It looks like a bottle of lotion or hand cream, but it does say "water-based lubricant" at the bottom in small letters, so you may not want to leave it sitting out if you have company coming over.

The 2oz container does fit within TSA's travel regulations, so if you are flying within the United States, you can take this in your luggage.

The bottle has a flip-top cap that is very easy to open and close, even with only one hand. It dispenses very easily and will not leak unless you loosen the lid. The bottle is made of recyclable plastic (type 1).
    • Can be opened with one hand
    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Recyclable
Follow-up commentary
I've been using this frequently with a variety of toys and have yet to have any issues. I had previously been using a silicone lubricant, which lasts a lot longer, but I hated having to switch lubes if I switched to a toy made of silicone. It's a lot easier to use a water-based lube so that I don't have to go back and forth depending on the material!

Another positive review on this stuff! Thanks for sharing, I really want to give this a try since the "cream" texture is different from other's I've tried.
