Aqua flavored - lubricant discontinued by Wicked - review by BlackOrchid

Wicked Aqua Salted Caramel is a flavored, water-based lubricant. It can be used solo or with a partner for oral sex, intercourse or masturbation.

Water-based lubricant is compatible with any toy material.

Take care to check the ingredient list for potential allergy concerns. The label lists the ingredients of this lubricant as follows:

Water, Glycerin, Cellulose Gum, Stevia Rebaudiana extract, Olea Europaea (olive) leaf extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Tetrasodium EDTA, Citric acid, Sodium benzoate, Potassium sorbate, Flavor.

Since this lubricant is water-based it rinses away easily with water, therefore is not the most suitable product for use in the shower or other water.

I personally would not recommended this lubricant for anal play. While it could be used for that purpose, it really is thin and runny. I'd suggest using a thicker lubricant (whether silicone or water-based) for anal. The Wicked Salted Caramel is a nice touch for rimming, if you happen to be into that kind of play.

The lubricant is slick and fairly slippery. Despite the sweet smell and flavor, there is no stickiness left behind.

The consistency is thin. The lubricant will stay in place if it is applied evenly and spread in a thin layer. If the lubricant is applied heavily enough that it has an opportunity to run, it will.

The pump-top dispenses the lubricant very neatly. I have not encountered any issues with dispensing too much or too little product, nor have had any issues with it clogging or leaking.

It really smells like caramel sauce, truly sweet and yummy. The taste is sweet as well, and again true to the caramel flavor. It's on par with the type of caramel sauce that you would use on ice cream, but not as sugary sweet.

Personally, I don't taste any saltiness in the lubricant. I feel like it tastes like regular caramel rather than a salted caramel.

The scent is more powerful than the taste. Even after the flavoring has been licked off, the skin is left with a light, sweet smelling caramel aroma.

As an actual lubricant, unfortunately it does not work too well. While it is slick, it's also thin and not that long lasting. It absorbs quickly into the skin. Adding a little bit of water reactivates the lube slightly, but for best results you will need to reapply.

As a fun oral sex enhancer, the product works as stated. I agree with Wicked's claims as far as being not sticky and having no aftertaste.

The lubricant cleans off easily, both off fabric and skin and is non-staining.

This lubricant comes in a 120ml/4.0 fluid ounce bottle, with a pump top dispenser. The bottle is a transparent black color. It comes with a shrink-wrap type seal around the bottle and was also shipped inside of a plastic bag, so there was no cause for concern about leakage.

Other than the bottle stating that it is a lubricant, the rest of the bottle is fairly discreet. The only image on the bottle is a picture of a caramel candy on the front. From a distance, one would not automatically assume that this was an intimate product.

The back of the bottle states the intended use and ingredients.

The regular, full-sized bottle of this lubricant is not travel friendly for two reasons. One being that the bottle is larger than the TSA regulations, and the other being that the pump top offers some, yet little protection against leakage. The top does "lock" by twisting it to the left after use. This makes it not possible for the pump to be pressed down to dispense the product. While this is excellent for just having the bottle upright, there would be nothing to prevent it from turning the other way if it was jostled during travel. If you do plan on traveling with this lubricant by aircraft, make sure you transfer it to a tightly sealed container that meets TSA regulations.

Wicked mentions the following points about this lubricant on the back of the bottle:

Long lasting, latex friendly, paraben-free, never sticky, no aftertaste, vegan/no animal by-products, sweetened with Stevia.

If it weren't for the fact that we rarely use lube, and it's going to take forever literally to get through this one bottle I'd buy this lube in other flavors. I think it's really nice lube for the price and for what it does. I'm such a sucker for interesting flavors, I may end up buying a sampler pack from Wicked to try out some of the other flavors. I'm especially tempted to try out the Candy Apple, and mix it with the Salted Caramel.

For myself, and my boyfriend we only used this lubricant together for oral sex purposes, and it's fun for that! We've experimented with real food products before and had fun licking stuff off each other, but never on the genital region (as it is not safe to do so and could cause a yeast infection). It was fun to be able to use this on his penis, and my clit and vulva and enjoy it on each other without worrying about a negative reaction.

We really see no purpose to use this for hand jobs or intercourse. In our opinion, the concept of flavored lubricant is the fact that it is flavored.
