Original gel lubricant - lubricant discontinued by Wet Lubricants - review by Dame Demi

Wet Gel|Water Based Lubricants: Wet Gel Lubricant is a lube with both some great strengths and a great weakness. It is, as stated, a gel lubricant, so it is fairly thick and easy to apply and definitely stays where you put it. It is also remarkably light-feeling for a thicker gel, creating a nice slippery feeling without being sticky or tacky. I found Wet Gel to aid enormously in insertion with a jelly toy, reducing almost all friction and making penetration a breeze.

It is also effective during intercourse, though its gel texture makes it heavier than I normally like for real-life play. It is actually quite ideal for use with condoms, at least initially, as it eliminates the “latex drag.”

Where Wet Gel falls short, surprisingly, is in its ability to last. For such a thick gel, it breaks down very quickly and becomes watery and ceases to provide much lubrication at all. I do not consider this a big deal during normal intercourse, where natural lubrication can help supplement it. However, with condom use or for toy play, reapplication is needed quite frequently. I eventually gave up trying to use it at all with jelly toys, since it could never last long enough to get the job done and I got tired of reapplying it.

Wet Gel|Wet gel lubricant review is colorless and odorless, though it does have a fairly sweet, vaguely minty taste. It cleans up fairly easily for a thick gel lubricant, rinsing easily off toys and cleaning up off skin with some light soap or a baby wipe, to prevent any lingering tackiness. (It is not a sticky lube, but like most gels, will thicken if allowed to sit and start to feel a bit tacky.)

Overall, I think Wet Gel is a lube that just misses the mark due to the fact it does not last long at all and requires frequent applications. This would actually be a great lube when longevity is not a factor, such as “Venus-penis|Strap-on vibrators: Venus Penis” style toys that only require lubrication for insertion.

Yeah, this one is making it to the trash. Not because it's a BAD lube, but just because it doesn't last. If you're able to orgasm in 30 seconds or less, give it a shot; otherwise, there are much better lubes out there. Perhaps surprisingly, though, I love their Wet Light for intercourse.
