This style of panties is really coming back into fashion due to Burlesque dancers and vintage inspired models that really pitch that, "showing less doesn't always mean more".

I purchased these for my partner, like most of the panties I review, and she was worried when they came out of the package that they might not fit. They looked small to us both, but when she finally slid them on, they were a huge confidence boost for her. The elegant detail on the front really adds overall to the cut and they just make her feel like she stepped right out of a 50's movie.

Overall, I have to say that I find these to be pretty amazing. The bows are removable, though they're only safety clipped on and kind of dangle there when you choose to keep them on. Other than that, everything else is perfect, from the garters, to the way they fit after all is said and done. They're highly stretchable and if you're in the 170lb range and doubting being able to work with a L, go for it. Even with a bigger bum than average, these fit over that just fine and even flatter it just a bit. They're made completely of Polyester and don't feel the softest I've ever felt, but they aren't uncomfortable at all to wear. They might be a little weird to wear with any jeans that sit low on the hips, but these aren't the most casual pair of underwear out there and would probably be more suited to a bedroom situation anyway.

The packaging was almost as beautiful as the underwear themselves. Coquette loves to ship your lingerie to you on a beautiful satin-esque hanger, complete with little pins for holding your item, and the hanger is entirely gorgeous to hang in your closet for other items or the underwear. It's covered in a plastic wrap to protect the product while shipping, so once that's removed, you'll have your underwear, the hanger, and a plastic baggy that the garters are stored in. On the underside of the underwear are hooks where you can hook the four garters into place or remove them if you want.

You can machine wash these, but if you're leaving the bows attached, I would recommend hand washing and hang drying instead or remove them and the garters before washing.

The underwear do have a matching bra sold separately that goes really well with this set.
