This is a well made, comfortable and nice looking garter panty. The fabric mixes a velvet floral over a sheer spandex like front panel with solid black sheer polyester material on the sides and rear. The black satin garters and bows are removable. The plastic garter hooks do not dig into the skin and hold thigh high stockings without damaging the tops of the stockings. The hooks are smooth and can not catch or snag the delicate makeup of most stockings.

I did not particularly care for the bows. They are large and, in my opinion, awkward. If you are wearing this to entice, and your partner goes for frilly bows, you will like these. However, if you plan to wear these under a sexy outfit for a night on the town, the bows will press through any form fitting outfits you wear. You can comfortabley wear these with thigh high stockings, or simply detach the garters and wear a pair of pantyhose. I would not recommend wearing these in the summer heat; the polyester fabric does not "breathe" well and you would sweat and not feel comfortable. At your discretion, you could wear these in the spring and/or fall with not stockings and have no worries.

There is a nice, large cotton crotch liner. I must commend Coquette lingerie for this; most of the panties I have that are geared to a woman looking to appear "sexy" have a teeny-weeny-tiny cotton liner. Maybe because these are not as skimpy as some panties they are able to design them with this larger liner. It is a small design change that makes these so much more comfortable and healthy than other panties I have in my collection.

The words "high rise" need some explanation; They sit comfortably at the natural waist, above the navel. You could not wear these with your low riding jeans if you want to wear a top that exposes any skin in that area. It does not rise as high as some undergarments sold to help hold and slim your profile. The cut of the legs, which is a bonus to me, is ever so slightly higher than most panties. They are not severely high but the little extra is much more comfortable than panties I own. It also adds a certain something to the sexy but not over the top sexiness.

Mature women and women with a bit of a "belly" will appreciate these panties. The spandex sides and back provide a small amount of compression, not much so do not expect to be wearing a smaller pair of pants, but your profile will certainly look smoother and more polished. Younger women will enjoy these and they will help you pull off a "Norma Jean" Marilyn Monroe/Betty Grable appearance. The design of these are so flexible that you can sex them up or dress them down; think of it as an outfit you can wear to shop for groceries or a formal affair.

These panties have been around with me. I have worn them for regular, day to day activities, including wearing them under a pair of athletic shorts just to wash our floors, to work in my office and going out with friends and family. I wore them under a ball gown to the wedding of a very good friend. Honestly, while wearing these I feel more comfortable than super sexy. It will take me awhile to put the words "comfortable" and "sexy" in the same sentence, but these do fit that description.

Although I did not purchase it, Coquette makes a bra to match. I like the cut and shape of the bra (in the picture) and think it looks nice with these panties. The bra has a band that extends below the cups and a very wide band in the back. I have those ugly "fat wings" that can hang over the sides of a bra if it does not fit well or has narrow sides and back. I like a bra with no less than 4 hook closure and this bra looks like it fits my requirements.

These are comfortable, and they wash up well. I machine wash and dry them. I was worried about the velvet coming off or "peeling", but they still look good as new. I think they will last very well and continue to look new. I threw out the bows. They may look pretty in the picture but they just are not practical.
