Sheer lace top stockings with woven floral and bow pattern - stockings discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by oldman

I ordered these beautiful thigh high stockings for my wife, however, to be truthful, they were a gift from me, to me. Afterall, I am the person who enjoys and benefits from this gift. I chose the black, which is always a top choice, but these are also available in white. From the pictures on EF, I suggest saving the white for a bride. I can't imagine them being sexy at any other occassion. When the stockings arrived, along with my most recent order from EF, I immediately pulled them from the box and carefully wrapped them and secured it with a glittery bow. I attached a loving note (what a guy, huh?) and waited for later that night. I tucked the flat(ish) gift under the bed covers and kept quiet.


At this point, I will stop and take a commercial break, brought to you by the boring details listed on the standard stocking/pantyhose packaging. The material is 100% nylon and should be washed by hand using a mild soap and, if necessary a NON-chlorine bleach. Lay them flat to dry and do not tumble dry or iron. Being nylon, I imagine they melt at high temps, destroying both their beauty and usefulness. These are one size only and Leg Avenue has a weight range of 90 to 160 pounds. Mrs. is 5' 2" tall and all she will admit to is her sexy body is closer to the upper range (most of which is lovingly placed in her breasts....my thoughts, of course). They look great, she says they are very comfortable and she would wear Leg Avenue products again, Now, back to the featured review.


After watching the TV news, we went upstairs to get ready for sleep--the usual, brush our teeth, maybe shower and discuss the POD (plan of the day) for tomorrow, moan about everything the kids are doing that we know how to do better.....important bed time chatter. When the covers were pulled back, a smile as wide as the seas moved across her face. Ahhh...so far a success!! I would like to say she carefully opened the gift, but the reality is she read the card, an obligatory kiss and ripped into the paper. "OOOOO--these are pretty". "And sexy", I added. After 42 years of marriage (we were BOTH virgins) 5 children and 5 grandchildren (6 if you check back in May) she is still the only woman in my eyes, heart and arms. She is way beyond wonderful. My baby decided to put on the stockings to see how they felt (afterall, this is science and many people rely on my unbiased report). I was hooked and I knew that sleep was no longer on the menu, so I took this for the team. As the stockings slowly crept up her legs, her toes wiggled as she pulled on 1 stocking and then the other. I turned and as if by magic, some high heels appeared--I reminded myself this was for the team. OOPS---instant replay. We learned there is a left and right stocking so that the design is facing outwards on both legs. The lateral floral and bow design (a loose description) is about 8 inches long, and 3 inches at the widest point, when fully stretched on the leg. A clear rhinestone sits in the center of the design. The top is banded by a 4.5 inch strip of very pretty lace. I was struck by what lovely legs Mrs. has (although I already knew, it was a nice reminder). They looked so soft and elegant, I had to had to reach out and touch. WOW...beautiful AND soft! Once again I thought, "I am doing this for the team. The team needs me." I pushed on to completion.

I continued my scientific examination of the stockings. Beginning at her tiny toes, my hands moved along her legs, first one, then the other. So soft and smooth, no odor or taste to distract me from the natural scent of the Mrs. I reached the top of the stockings where the lace band seems to be worked into the stocking with no evident seam. I thought this was interesting and lingered there for a moment. BAM! With a light bang to my head, my wife reminded me to continue on with my examination, which I did (for the team, of course.). Mrs. wrapped her so, so soft legs around my back as my detailed examination progressed. I won't go into some of the finer details of this inspection...I find it necessary to preserve the more tender portions, but let it be known that these stockings are beautiful and were enjoyed in so many ways by both my wife and I. Whether worn in private, or in public, these stockings are always a welcome hint for whats on tonight's menu.


A follow up interview the next day revealed that the Mrs. (who slept in both the stockings and my arms) liked wearing these hose. She described them as being comfortable, easy to clean, stayed up by the elastic lace band that did not roll and she anticipates they will be long lasting (based on the fact that she slept with them and they were still fine in the morning). She does have 1 caveat: be careful with long finger nails and jewelery. She does not think wearing an anklet will be a good idea as the edges of the item could easily cause a snag, rip, run and/or tear.

I still love seeing these on the Mrs. -- in or out of the house and with or without clothes. One of the stockings got a snag, which turned into a small hole, which turned into a large hole, which ended up getting the stocking tossed in the trash. It was a good thing I was smart enough to order an extra pair. Mrs. is very economical so she replaced the ruined stocking and still has one stocking to spare. When that one goes into use I'll make sure she orders some replacements.
