Red leopard chemise - chemise discontinued by Coquette - review by SMichelle

I've always wished that I could pull off leopard print, but I'm never successful. After trying several leopard print babydolls, I've come to the conclusion that all over leopard print just makes me feel ridiculous. Then, I saw this... The leopard print on this chemise appears sexy, especially when combined with the black fabric. I love that this chemise uses sexy leopard print to spice up an otherwise basic chemise!

Basics:
This chemise is made by Coquette. The chemise combines the look of sexy, basic black with animal print. The animal print is unlikely to overwhelm anyone, due to the fact that it's only used for the trim.

The chemise is available in two different color combinations: black/red leopard, and black/standard leopard. I chose to purchase the black/red leopard colorway, though I have a feeling I'll purchase the other color combination soon!

This chemise does not come with any underwear.

Material & Care:
This chemise is made out of 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex. The high spandex count means that this piece is quite stretchy. It also means that this piece will certainly hug each and every one of your curves! So, if you're trying to hide your figure, this isn't the chemise for you; it's meant to show off your figure!

The black material feels soft and silky -- and incredibly touchable. The black also features a slight shimmer to it, which looks amazing when combined to the slightly matte (but still bright) red leopard print.

The interior of this chemise feels just as soft and silky as the outside! I wasn't irritated at all by this chemise, even after wearing it for hours. Honestly, it's so comfortable that I could sleep in it (if not for the underwire).

This chemise does also feature some lace. The lace is not the most durable, but it has yet to snag. My biggest worry with the lace is that it'll fray after several wears. The lace is beautiful, though, and it's not at all itchy. In fact, it's very soft.

Oh, also, ladies, this piece is actually opaque! Very cool, right? I say that because there seems to be such a shortage of great opaque lingerie pieces. This chemise, however, is a great opaque lingerie item!

To care for this item, you're going to want to hand wash it and then hang it to dry.

Sizing:
This chemise is available in small, medium, and large. I purchased the large.

According to the size chart, a large should fit someone with the following measurements:
Cups: C
Bust: 38-40"
Waist: 30-32
Hips: 40-42

My waist is 32", while my hips are 40". I wear a 34d bra.

The chemise fit me extremely well -- except for the bust portion. The bust is definitely a little loose on me, making it appear that you could fit much larger than me in the cups of the chemise. I think that if the chemise was tighter around my underbust, the chemise would fit me a bit better in that respect.

While the top of the chemise isn't a dream fit for me, that doesn't keep me from wearing and loving this item!

Length wise, this comes to my upper thigh, just covering my bum. I'm 5'6", if that helps give you an idea of the length.

Design:
This body hugging chemise is meant to show off your figure. Even though I'm curvy, and have some figure flaws, I absolutely love the way that this hugs my figure.

The chemise features molded cups. The cups do offer some padding. They also feature underwire. What does all of this mean, you ask? Simple; this means that the chemise provides some bust support! There is also a bit of red leopard print trim that goes over each cup, providing a very sexy look.

The straps on the chemise are not removable, but they are adjustable. They're also very comfortable to wear.

The lower half of the chemise is kind of basic. Most of the chemise is just basic black, but there are two lines of red leopard print on the lower half the chemise. These lines come down from each cup, and go all the way down to the bottom.

At the bottom of the chemise, there's the lace trim.

The back of the chemise is just completely black.

Quality:
The quality on this piece was okay. I did notice several loose threads, but they were very easy to snip off. The sewing appears to be of high quality, other than the loose threads.
