Red leopard chemise - chemise discontinued by Coquette - review by aliceinthehole

Dim the lights, light some candles, turn on your sexytime music. The Red Leopard Chemise (pronounced 'she-MEES,' per my Victoria's Secret employee friend) by Coquette growls with confidence as it hugs your every curve and flatters you with lace, silky lycra and leopard print.

One amazing feature of this piece is the built in push up bra. It features adjustable straps which can be shortened for extra lift, or tied together in the back with a clip, or even paired with a regular push up bra underneath for some 'Wowza!' tits.



For a small breasted girl like me (barely an A cup) the Small size was too large on top, but my boobs still seemed grander than usual, and majestic cleavage, a rare creature on my form, made its debut.

The bra features significant padding in push-up style. The molded cups carry padding that is soft and the underwire isn't too stiff or uncomfortable, even for someone like me who never wears bras and therefore isn't used to their restricting, poking nature.



The dress hit my 5'6" frame at high thigh, and was quite short, but not too short for the bedroom. If I bend over very low, you can see my kuka! Ooh la la!
The 3" wide floral black lace band at the bottom adds a touch of femininity and an element of teasing, as the sexy thighs can be seen through the lace pattern.

The soft, silky material (80% Nylon, 20% Spandex, per the label) carries this piece overboard from blase' to beautiful. The black shines under candlelight and slides gracefully over your skin, adding an element of sensuality to your experience. The bright red bands patterned with small leopard print run vertically over the torso and accent the breasts. They also scream 'Meow!'



As the garment contains Spandex, it hugs every single curve. If you're not 100% confident about your torso area and backside, you may find yourself wanting to hide in this piece. The material also will show any panty lines as if it were it's day job. But since you'll be wearing this in the bedroom (and you're going to look so hott), your panties won't be on long, now will they? I really don't recommend this for out of the bedroom for the VPL issue, and because, to me at least, it seems so 'lingerie.' But if you're confident in this piece and want to wear it out, by all means girl, do it!

The chemise comes in a resealable clear plastic bag, on a delicately elegant lingerie hanger. The hanger is covered in thick black silk with a knob on the far side of either arm to hold straps in place. I've never before had a garment with such a beautiful display. I definitely appreciate this feature.



Hand wash this piece once you've gotten down and dirty in it, and hang to dry. If you're careful, a lingerie bag on a cold setting should do fine in the washer, but still steer clear of the washer. Handwashing is always best, and with this piece it ensures that the padded cups don't get banged up and deformed.


The sizing for this piece, per Coquette's measurements, ideally fit the following body types.

Small. size 4-6, B cup, 34-36" bust, 26-28" waist, 36-38" hips.
Medium: size 8 - 10, B cup, 36-38" bust, 26 - 30" waist, 38 - 40" hips
Large: size 12 - 14, C cup, 38 - 40" bust, 30 - 32" waist, 40 - 42" hips

But of course if you're wavering on the higher or lower end of any of these scales, consider the stretchy nature of the piece when ordering.

This is still a hot, well-made set, but it hasn't come out of my closet but once since the review. My boyfriend doesn't care for lingerie and why the hell else would I wear it but for him? What a pin.

Anywho, I'd wear this thing out to the bar if it didn't have the built-in bra, which on second look is pretty odd for a dress to have. It looks fake to me. And with my tiny boobs, there's not much lift going on. It feels like I'm trying too hard.

Still, a very sexy and well-made chemise. It's one of a kind.
