Lace back chemise - chemise discontinued by Coquette - review by libbyv

The Lace Back Chemise by Coquette is fun and sexy. I've known the brand for a while, but this is the first time I had bought any of their lingerie. I've read many reviews on this product, and was excited to experience their quality for myself.

The chemise is black with nude coloring, with adjustable shoulder straps, garter clips, and a lace up back. The front is solid, but the back is more see through. Made of nylon and spandex, I was a bit disappointed that it was not as stretchy as I had hoped. Those who are self conscious, and have a lot of extra curves, may not be a fan of this chemise. The cups are slightly padded, which will add a little for those with smaller breasts. The cups do not have an under wire, which I prefer, but others may like the extra support. I was hoping the chemise came with the stockings, but they are sold separately. I was also surprised to find the garter clips were not removable.




At 5'2", 120 lbs, 34B, I found the medium to not be the greatest fit. The extra padding was nice on my breasts, but it was a bit unflattering around my mid-section/love handles. As I mentioned, it wasn't as stretchy as I had hoped, which made it a bit restrictive towards the bottom for spreading my legs very well. With the bottom being open, it would allow for vaginal and anal penetration, but only in certain positions.


Care:
The tag on this instructed to hand wash and hang dry. The lace on the front of this requires more delicate care.

The chemise comes in a bag on a really nice, padded hanger.


Lightweight, the chemise is travel friendly, but a bit stiff. I hope the stiffness will deteriorate with use, and after a few washings.

As beautiful as this piece is, and as well-designed with quality materials, I decided it was best to return it. I liked this piece when I first saw it and even when I received it. Unfortunately, it's very tight and accentuates every unwanted curve that I would otherwise wish to hide.

It made me feel very selfconscious, but those more comfortable with their bodies may be just fine with it. It's all in who you are, and what you like.
