Bombshell bustier and thong - bustier discontinued by Seven 'til Midnight - review by Breas

The Bombshell bustier arrived packaged in a large, transparent, plastic bag. The bag is a durable plastic, attached to a hanger. The bag would be fine to store the bustier in when it’s not being worn. I like to use these sorts of bags to throw undies, bras, etc in. The plastic bag had a cardboard insert in it that stated the size, company name, and the product name. The insert also had a photo of a model wearing the bustier. Below is a photo of the bustier packaging.



The bustier comes with 4 detachable, adjustable garters, and a matching thong. The bustier is only available in sizes XL-3X/4X. I had ordered the size XL. I ordered the bustier so that I could wear it with a cardigan when I go out, but my partner and I think it would be fun to use for role-play in the bedroom as well. The pattern reminds us both of a referee of a sporting game.

I’ve taken measurements of the bustier lying flat, unstretched. The bustier was done up on the last row of eye closures (loosest fit). If you need additional measurements, please feel free to send me a message and I will get them for you.

The bustier is made of 90% polyester and 10% spandex. The 2 rows of ruffle trim on each cup, and 2 rows along the bottom of the bustier are made of mesh. The halter straps are ribbon. The entire bustier (excluding the cups) is extremely stretchy and comfortable. I didn’t experience any irritation or discomfort to my skin while wearing it.

The bustier does up with 17 hook and eye closures down the centre back. There are 3 rows of eyes, with a ½ inch between each row. I was able to put the bustier on by doing it up backwards (in the front) and then once it was completely done up, I turned the bustier around the right way. The material is so stretchy that you shouldn’t have a problem doing it up this way either.

The bustier has 6 boning pieces in total; 4 down the front of the bustier, and 1 on each side. The boning is a flexible plastic so it won’t do any shaping for you. The bustier is a bit lengthy, and I found that when I was sitting down the plastic boning stuck out a bit. You can flatten the boning pieces to your body by pulling the bottom of the bustier down a bit further when you sit down. One annoying thing about the boning is that if you are sitting too long, the boning moulds to your figure. I was sitting down for about a half an hour, and when I stood up, the boning didn’t flatten, but instead it stayed in the shape it was when I was sitting. The boning can be flexed back into shape, but when wearing this out in public, it’s a real pain in the butt.



The “shoulder straps” are a thick purple ribbon, which tie behind the neck. The ribbon is 1 inch wide. The ribbon is attached to the inside of the bustier, and begins at the outside of each chest cup (you can see this in the photo above). Personally, I like the wide gap in between the ribbons compared to having them look like regular straps that begin near the centre of the cups.

The cups on the bustier have a light padding in them, and have underwire so you do not need to wear a bra with this piece. The thong that is included does not have any lining in it.



The care tag states that the bustier should be hand washed in cold water and line dried. The bustier should never be bleached or ironed.

Overall I am quite happy with the bustier. The price is fabulous and it looks quite nice on. The only issue I had that I had mentioned above is the flexible boning in the bustier. It really only is an issue when I sit down, and when I stand up after sitting down for a long period of time. It would probably have been better off without any boning at all. The bustier loses a star in its rating because of the boning issue, and also because it is only available in larger sizes.
