Enchanted forest open-back chemise - chemise discontinued by Escante - review by Pete's Princess

This was on my wish list for quite a while as EF was out of stock on my size for some time. When it finally arrived, I was more pleased than I thought I would be. My man's favorite color is green. It is so hard to find anything green, so we were excited when it arrived. The quality is excellent.

The vertical green stripes of material combined with the black body are very slimming. I generally have a bit of trouble with proportions, having a 34D cup size, but this fit well. It would work well for a C cup also. The cups have underwire and are lightly padded which gives nice support. The front portions of the straps are made of the material that goes into adjustable bra straps. The black lace detail adds a great finished look. The lace is very soft. The green material has a nice sheen to it and reflects light well. The black material is very sheer.

The back is a great surprise. It is hard to tell from the pictures, but there is a lace up ribbon detail at the bottom. The back features a nice drop waist exposing your back with the exception of where the bra portion hooks together. The bra portion has two hook and eye closures with three size adjustments. The included thong is nothing to write home about. It is made of a triangle of the sheer black material with a small triangle of a cotton material at the crotch. The rest is a string of elastic.

The ribbon detail on the back is a very nice touch and one I had not noticed before ordering.

All the edges are finished, and it is made of quality materials. The materials are soft and comfortable enough to wear to sleep in as well as have fun in. The tag indicates it is 91% Nylon and 9% Elastine. The care instructions state that it is to be hand washed in cold water. Do not wring or twist. Line dry. Iron it on low temperature, if needed. One strange thing is the size, material, and color of the care tags. They are bright white with black lettering and are huge. The material they are made out of is very stiff and uncomfortable against the skin. You definitely need to cut them out before wearing.

The packaging is utilitarian. It comes on a black plastic hanger covered by a plastic bag. I love when lingerie comes on those wonderful padded hangers, but alas this one did not. You will need to do a bit better in wrapping if giving this as a gift.

The design, quality, and fit are excellent. Drawbacks are the large care tags, the thong, and the packaging. I do not feel that these greatly detract from the other great attributes.

This is very comfortable. I love the dark green and black combination. It is one of my husband's favorites. The lacing up the front and in the back adds so much to this outfit. It is great to wear all night to sleep. This is a great chemise. I loved it when I first got it and I still love it.
