The La Vie En Rose bustier by Seven til Midnight is a versatile bustier that is flattering, beautiful and comfortable. It arrived in a clear plastic bag rather than a reusable bag with an attached hanger. I have plenty of hangers, so that isn't something I'm worried about. This review is for size XL.

This is Seven til Midnight's size chart. Based on my measurements, I ordered the XL since I (sort of) fall in that range. The only issue I had with this garment was how tight it was on my hips. It was so tight that my 42 in. hips stretched it as far as the elastic would go. If you were to wear this garment out and have large hips, I'd recommend using shapewear underneath to prevent the bustier from riding up.



I fell in love with this piece when I came across it on Eden. I must admit, I had mixed feelings for a while and went back and forth for months on whether to buy it or not. I thought it was right on the borderline between cute and tacky. I'm glad I decided to order it, because this has quickly become a favorite.



The bustier has two detachable bra straps and four detachable garters. I was quite pleased to find it has the versatility of being strapless, though with my large breasts, this is not the look for me. The bra straps are pink and give a nice accent to the pink and green flowers on the pattern. The material reminds me of that of a bathing suit. It's super soft and stretchy. Ladies, be careful not to snag the material with your fingernails.

The inside of the bustier is lined with a sort of mesh material, though it is very soft. I'm assuming this is to give the garment extra wear protection as well as some shape support.



The pattern is bold and beautiful. Aside from the front panel which is black, satin-y and cinched, this bustier is covered in medium-large hot pink roses, with accents of light pink atop lime green leaves. The straps are hot pink. In the middle of the cups, and above each of the front garters are pretty pink ribbon bows. They aren't too large, which I like. The bottom of the bustier is a soft ruffled mesh with hot pink lining. In addition, the detachable garters are black with a pink accent ribbon.

As indicated by the tag, its care instructions are to hand wash cold, do not bleach or dry and to line dry. It is made of 92% Polyester and 8% Spandex.



The thong is nothing special, though it is made of the same material of the bustier, which is lovely. It has a cotton crotch and fits well.

Here is the bustier on me, front and back. Notice the back view, you can see in the middle of my back that the bustier is trying to ride up a bit due to the hips being so tight. Its closure in the back is composed of a million (ok, not really) hook and eye closures, just like the kind you'd see on a bra. There are 3 options to make it bigger or smaller, giving an inch of adjustable length.

I am very happy with my purchase of the La Vie En Rose bustier. The only area it doesn't fit quite right is in the hips, but I am ok with that. The biggest thing I look for in lingerie is breast support, and I can say, hands down this is the best I've come across. It feels like an actual built in bra, with structure, support and lightly padded cups. My DD breasts fit perfectly in it and do not spill out the top or sides. I couldn't be more pleased.

Despite the whole hip issue, I've decided to still give this bustier 5 stars based on the overall appearance, breast support and superb design. My garment arrived without a snag or stray thread in sight. This would be a perfect bustier for anyone who wants to look great without spending much money.

I still like this one! Unfortunately, over the months since my original review, I've gained a few extra pounds which has me too scared to even try this one on again, since it was tight on my hips from the get-go. I still love the print and the super soft material that feels like a bathing suit. I look forward to wearing this one out and about this summer!
