My Dangerous, Bad Ass Nipples

The Stud Pasties by Coquette are probably the coolest looking pair of pasties that I own. I love the look of them! The adhesive is strong and secures the pasties well. The pasties are reusable without needing to purchase any glue or tape. I’m very happy with them and would recommend them to others.

The Stud Pasties by Coquette are a unique pair of nipple covers. These pasties aren’t the kind you wear beneath clothing to cover your nipples. They are perfect as an addition to a lingerie piece or as an alternative to wearing lingerie. Pair it with some black underwear and you’re ready to go!

The pasties arrived in a plastic, rectangular package. You can see the pasties through the clear plastic front of the package. The back of the packaging states a few warnings, company contact information, website, and has a barcode sticker that states the product name, colour, and size. You could use the packaging for storage but it’s rather large in comparison to the pasties.

There is no information on the packaging about the material composition of the pasties but the product page lists the pasties as faux leather. The faux leather is the in the shape of a circle and has a diameter of 2 inches. There are 5 silver coloured metal studs on each pasty: 1 at the centre, and 4 surrounding it. The studs protrude from the pasty with a length of approximately ½ of an inch each. The material does overlap at one part of the pasty, which creates an ugly seam line. It’s quite noticeable. The seam line doesn’t ruin the pasty experience or anything, but it would have been nice without it or if it were less noticeable.

While the pasties do have a unisex look to them, I think they are better for women. The reason I say this is because the inner area of the pasty has a dip inside of it (almost like a cup). The depth of the inside of the pasty is somewhere between ¾-1 inch. This just means that the pasty doesn’t lay flat against the nipple. A male could wear the pasties, but the wearer cannot flatten them so he’ll have pointy pasties. My partner said he wouldn’t wear them, but that is just his opinion. I tried flattening out one of the pasties but it looked really warped when I had tried.

Regardless of the gender of the wearer, it’s not recommended for those with sensitive skin, and should not be used on open cuts, sun damaged/burned skin, or if you have a skin disorder or skin pigmentation. The pasties do not come with an extra spot testing pasty. The spot testing pasty is good for those who have never worn pasties before and need to see how their skin will react to the adhesive before placing the two larger ones on their body. Since these pasties do not come with this (and also no information on the adhesive back), keep an eye on your skin while wearing them. If your skin starts to become irritated, red, itchy, or has any rashes, take them off immediately.

The pasties don’t come with any information on how to apply them but it’s really easy to do so I’ll just explain it here in case it’s your first time wearing them. Firstly, you need to wash the area where they will be applied. This just takes away any dirt or anything that’s sitting on the skin. When you’ve finished cleaning the area, dry it well.

Now it’s time to apply the pasties. Each pasty has a clear, plastic backing. Just think of it as a big sticker. Take the plastic backing off, align the centre of the pasty with your nipple, and apply. Press down on the sides of the pasties for 30 seconds or so to make sure it’s secured to the skin well. The adhesive is quite strong so you don’t have to worry about it falling off during wear. Do not throw out the little plastic backing to each pasty (I’ll explain why later).

The Coquette pasties are actually the most comfortable I have worn in terms of removing them. Other pasties that I have worn have been taken off like a band-aid: slowly so I don’t tug on the skin too hard. Removing these pasties is much more gentle. It really doesn’t tug at your skin.

If you have really sensitive nipples, you may want to apply a bit of Vaseline to the centre of your nipple or alternatively, put a tiny piece of cotton ball on the centre of your nipple before applying the pasty. Doing either of these things would just put something between your nipple and the adhesive so you don’t have to worry about any minor tug while removing them.
Experience
...continued

The packaging recommends wearing the pasties for no longer than 6 hours at a time. I only wore the pasties for an hour or two. The nicest thing about these pasties (other than their awesome appearance) is that they are reusable without having to have pasty glue or similar item on hand. When I removed the pasty, the adhesive still was sticky. This is why I suggested holding on to the plastic backing.

You can cover the back of the pasty with the plastic and store them away for next time. I’m not sure how long the adhesive stays sticky but I can say they are good for more than one use. If/when the adhesive did become un-sticky; you could purchase some double sided tape, pasty glue, or a similar item to continue using them.

Overall, I really like these pasties. I love the appearance of them, the adhesive sticks well, they’re reusable, and my partner really loves when I wear them. I’ve deducted one star from the rating for a couple small reasons: the price is high, and for the high price they should have done something about the seam line because it’s the only ugly thing about the pasty.
