Stud pasties - pasties discontinued by Coquette - review by married with children

Packaging: These showed up in a plastic box. The box is about 7 inches by 5 inches by 1 1/2 inch deep. It is a pretty big box for two small pasties. Inside the box is a cardboard insert, which holds the two pasties inside the box. They don't hold them well, mine where floating around in the box. But hey, they tried. Luckily these are not breakable, so it does not matter too much if they are held in place during shipping or not. The front of the cardboard insert says "flirt with style" in big red writing. The back of the card has some warnings and the address of Coquette.

Care and Storage: These did not come with any care instructions. I am a little lost as to how to care for these and keep them in top shape for as long as possible. While I doubt these will get dirty enough to need anything more then a quick wipe, I would still love to be able to clean these when we feel the need. So, without any care instructions I think we will be sticking to just wiping these with a damp cloth if ever needed. We will have to try to make sure they don't get in the way and get dirty.

Material and craftsmanship: These are made from faux-leather and chrome plated metal. The faux-leather does not feel like real leather. But unlike leather, faux-leather can get wet. So if you are a sweater or someone just has bad aim, you don't need to worry about the material getting ruined by getting moist. The metal on the other hand, I would not trust that getting wet and staying moist. I can see that rusting with the moisture. I could not find any information on what they are using for the adhesive. I would be interested in finding out what is in it, as a lot of people are allergic to a lot of different chemicals.

These feel like they will hold up for many uses. We have used them twice so far, and they still work like day one. The adhesive would be the only weak spot on these. The faux-leather and metal studs should hold up with out a problem.

Design: These each have 5 metal studs. One in the center and 4 spaced around the exterior. The metal studs are about 1/2 inch long and a 1/4 inch wide. The pasties are about two inches in diameter, and should cover up just about anyone's nipples. These are put together to resemble a cone. When sitting on a table top, they are about 2 inches tall, minus the metal stud. 2 1/2 inches with the stud. With the metal studs, these are pretty heavy. These each weigh just under 1 ounce. That is pretty heavy for a pastie. The adhesive has to be pretty good to keep these on while you are in action and moving around. And it is. My wife only lost one once, and that was because she did not stick it on very well to start with.

I purchased these because I thought they were pretty cool looking. My wife would not have picked these out for her self. But she did wear them for me, so everything worked out. She thought they were funny looking. I kind of had to agree with her when they where on, but I leaned more to the fun side of wearing them not the funny looking side. And they did add some fun to the night. Even when one fell off and almost hit me in my eye.

I could not see wearing these any where but the bedroom. You could not wear them under clothes out of the house, as the studs would show through your clothing. They are a stand alone item, you cant cover them up with anything. Maybe a loose fitting sweater might work. For us, they will be used alone, in the bedroom.

I am a little worried about what they used as a adhesive on these. The reason I worry is that I have 2 people in the house who have allergies to many different things. So we used some caution until we could make sure that no problems would arise from the adhesive. We have only had the chance to use these a few times, so I will have to update this after we get a chance to use them more; and let you know how well the adhesive lasted.

My wife has only used these a few times. She said she does not feel sexy with them on her nipples. I am not sure where or when this has changed, but I wont push it. So these have not been used a lot. I know they are still sticky and could stay in place while being worn. So I have been pretty happy with the quality and number of uses you get from the adhesive.
