Lace top fence net stockings - stockings discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by vanilla&chocolate

Up until I purchased these stockings, I had never tried thigh-highs of any sort, despite my curiosity. After all, what's sexier? Just from the look of them, I knew they would make me feel sexy, in addition to arousing a partner. That being said, my favorite quality of these stockings is how they look. The fence net is very slimming, in addition to showing that extra skin that a fishnet doesn't show. There is a wide band of lace, which only adds to the hotness of these.

However, upon excitedly ripping open the package and trying these for the first time, I was slightly disappointed. As previously mentioned, I love the way they look. Upon taking a few steps, I realized that they slowly slide down with almost any movement at all. I had been planning to wear them under a skirt to a club, but soon saw that if I did this, they would probably be around my calves in a few minutes. I would advise anyone who wants to purchase these that they would be best for usage during a night in (wink, wink) rather than a night out.

Another important point: I am 5'9'' and around 150 pounds; I am neither thin nor curvy by any stretch and actually have a very average, albeit somewhat muscular, build. My quads are built up from years of swimming, soccer, running, yoga, etc. I immediately noticed that the lace on these dug into my thighs, creating a kind of "thigh muffin top." It wasn't terribly noticeable, yet was not the most comfortable either. If the lace was a bit more stretchy and had a greater tendency to stay in place, I know that I would wear these stockings out as well as in. In addition, because of my height, they did not come up as high as I would have wanted on my legs. I think it would be wise for this company to make different sizes, as this would accommodate a greater variety of customers of all shapes and sizes.

Due to my disappointment with these, I haven't washed them yet, but I would imagine that they would best be washed in cold water in a garment bag with other lingerie.

I have tried on these stockings a couple more times since initially buying them, only to discover the same results. I want to reiterate that the material has very little give in terms of leg length or width. I would recommend these stockings solely to short, thin women. I still have not worn them out of the house because I'm guessing that they would be down around my ankles if I didn't watch them!
