So close!

I think this is I mostly like the retro-looking black dotted fabric. It's okay, and I think it's a cute and classy piece of lingerie, but the cups could definitely fit better.

Pros
Cute, nice coverage, flaunts curves, love the color, bow is removable, retro-looking fabric
Cons
It's comfortable except for how low the cups are

somewhat useful review
I was quite pleased upon seeing this chemise on EF. I have another chemise by Coquette that I absolutely love, so I figured since this is a similar shape, I would probably like it as well. This chemise came wrapped in bright pink tissue paper (which I think is done with just about all lingerie on EF), and I was very happy to finally try it on when I got it.

Upon putting it on I was pretty happy with the fit overall. I liked the coverage of it and how it accentuated my curves. I am not sure how I feel about the ruffles on the bum, I can't decide if I like them or not for myself. There is one thing I wish was better about it, and that would be the cups. I like the ruffles on the tops of them, I like the padding, I like just about everything...EXCEPT, they are a bit short. I have a 38C or D depending on the brand of bra, and when I put this on, I had to position the cups just so that my nipples wouldn't bust out. If they were just even 1/2" longer, they would be fine. If you have a B cup this might be perfect for you, Ds or larger should probably pass on this. If I were to compare this chemise to the Coquette Red Leopard Chemise that I have, I prefer the fit of the red leopard chemise. That one fits wonderfully, and is my favorite piece of lingerie. Because the cups are a bit awkward for me, I'm not sure how often I will want to wear this. I would wear it all the time if I had slightly smaller breasts, but because of how it fits I'm not sure. Unless I wasn't planning on wearing it for long! ;)

I was happy to discover that the bow on the front is removable. Since it has a pin-back, you could pin it on something else if you wanted, which I like! I think it could be cute to pin to a collar, maybe a cuff, or on a hairclip.
Follow-up commentary
I've grown to like this less. I've noticed it in my lingerie drawer a few times since I reviewed it, and have taken it out and put it on only to take right back off. I am not a huge fan of the cups, and I have other chemises that have a much more flattering (and more importantly, comfortable) fit. This has kind of gotten lost at the bottom of the drawer. I loo at it from time to time, but I have other piece I would prefer to wear.

I think you need to edit some of the stuff in here. There is a link but you have the wrong bracket, so it is not showing up.

    Thanks for the review.
I wish this had better cups.. I wear a C/D most of the time (depends on the bra), and this just doesn't seem like it would offer me enough coverage/support.

I wear a D most of the time, sometimes a C depending on the bra, and this would not give you the coverage you need. It would probably be supportive and comfortable to someone with a smaller cup size.

Thanks for this review, and mentioning the issue with the cups. I've had that problem with other Coquette pieces. I'm not crazy about feeling like I can't move or I'll have a wardrobe malfunction. lol Thanks so much!
