Black ruffled garter belt - garterbelt by Coquette - review by WhoopieDoo

I could have easily whipped together a garter belt for my Halloween costume with the approximately 7,000 spare detachable garters I have laying around my house, but my lazy self decided to just get one on Eden instead.... Actually, I ordered two, but this is the one I ended up wearing with my costume, and this garter belt will be framing my nethers many a time in the months (or years?) to come.



This garter belt came wrapped in some non-reusable cellophane wrapping.

Included: Garter belt with attached garters.

The tag reads: 80% Nylon 20% Spandex Exclusive of Trim, Hand Wash Only, Hang to Dry



The garter belt, laid flat. The ruffles are made of ultra soft, stretchy mesh, and the band is made of stretch velvet. This belt has no lining; it is simply a layer of stretchy black material with mesh ruffles sewn onto it (and of course it has trim, the materials of which are apparently unimportant).



The belt can be adjusted via a bra strap-style strap that unhooks on one side for some reason. The belt is plenty stretchy enough to not have to unhook this strap.

Sizing Information:

According to Coquette's size chart, this belt should fit hips that are 36-42 inches. My hips are 42 inches and I think that this recommendation is just about spot on. That's all I have to say where sizing is concerned.



Maybe I'm just in some sort of weird denial that only applies to mirrors and not pictures, but I swear the muffin top produced by certain garments (such as this) always looks less severe in "real life" (mirrors) than it does in photos. That said, I do have an ever so slight muffin top when I wear this.....that's pretty much to be expected with garter belts (that actually hold up stockings) though.





For those of you out there lucky enough to actually have an ass, this garter belt would frame it perfectly.
