Introduction

The Juana B. Sedated costume in size 1x/2x by DreamGirl arrived in a typical heavy weight, clear, snap packaging that most Halloween costumes come in and there was a plastic hanger at the top to hang the bag if needed.
Each piece of the outfit was individually wrapped neatly inside the bag. There were 5 pieces to the set. The actual dress, the name tag/badge, the apron, the stethoscope, and hat.


The outfit is bright white with red trim and ruffles that contrast nicely.





Sizing

I ordered size 1x/2x and this does seem to run true to size. The bottoms of these costumes do tend to run big on me but this wasn't so bad because it has the adjustable red satin ribbons at the bottom. This fit well with my 38F bust. There was still room left to fit a bigger cup size in there.




Measurements
The dress measured at 37 inches in length from the top of the shoulder area to the ruffle trim at the bottom with the ribbons loosened all the way. The length with the ribbons tied all the way up was 30 inches long.
Across the bust and stomach area, it measured 21 inches across unstretched and 27 inches stretched which is 57 total inches around.

The sleeve opening is 8 inches wide unstretched and 9 inches stretched.







The "V" cut out in the bust area measures 11 inches from the top of the V to the bottom on each side.

The apron square measures 9x8 inches and the total length including ribbons is 91 inches.

The hat square area is 6- 3/4 X 3 inches and the total length including ribbon ties is 37.5 inches.

The name tag measures 3x1 inches.





The stethoscope is 30 inches in length.

Materials

The dress is 100 percent polyester and has ruffles that feel like a faux chiffon.
The ribbon used on these parts is a satin material. The name tag is a heavy chipboard/cardboard type and the pin on the back is thin metal. The stethoscope is a basic plastic.

Dress
The dress is nice and comfy. It doesn't itch me and it doesn't cling. The color really stands out in bright daylight or in a dimly lit room. It fits well and is very stretchy. There are 10 rows of ruffles on the bum of the skirt. They range from the smallest at the top to a large line at the bottom. These pucker up and make the bum look really nice and rounded when the ties are pulled up. These are about 14 inches in length. This gives it even more of a SEXY factor. There is a ruffle that runs along the trim and this adds more appeal to the costume.




It looks wonderful with my red fishnets. The criss cross pattern in the front almost resembles a corset style top. I like this part a lot. There are ribbon pulls on the front and back of the dress that let you adjust it up or down depending on your height or how short that you want it. This is my favorite part of the dress. Since I am short at a mere 5'2", I pull the ties all the way up and it gives it the right amount of gathering for my height. There is just something really sexy about the ribbon ties. It has a hint of sheerness because it is white, you can see colored bras and panties through it. You can also see panty and bra lines.

Apron
The apron is a sexy addition to the dress. You should wear this to get the most appeal. The main area of the apron is white with the sheer red ruffle, the same as what is on the dress. There is a red heart in the middle of the apron and inside the red heart, there is a white cross. The ties are the red satin ribbon, the same material as the dress except this one is wider. It ties up nicely and does not come untied easily.

Hat
The hat is a nifty piece that actually stands up on it's own when tied correctly. The material on the hat has a sturdier backing on it and it has the same sheer ruffles as the dress and the apron, except these are much smaller. The same red, satin type material as the ribbon pulls from the dress are used on the hat to tie at the back of the head. When tied, it is comfortable but can slip if your hair is fine or very silky. I added some bobby pins to hold in place better. These seem to work like a charm. It matches the dress and apron perfectly.

Name Tag
The name tag is very lightweight and the main coloring is white. The tag reads Nurse at the top in red. Under that it reads Juana B. Sedated in smaller black lettering. There is a small, metal clip on back that has the safety closure. It is a standard metal pin. It looks nice on the outfit and everyone should get a kick out of the name.










Stethoscope
The stethoscope that is included in the set is probably the only accessory that I do not

like. This almost seems like something that you could buy at the Dollar tree for a child. It is a very basic plastic and it does not work. The pieces for the ear hurt my ears when I tried them out. The clear plastic is very hard.
I am going to buy an actual stethoscope to complete this outfit and give the other one to my niece to use as a toy because this is what it is.



Performance

When I put the costume on and added the accessories, this was definitely a hit with my partner. The fit was great, all of the accessories pulled it together and it looked like this was a more expensive costume that it really was. I am happy with my purchase and I give it two thumbs up and 5 stars! Thanks to DreamGirl for making this wonderful costume!
