A bad hare day

This finger bunny can grant a sort of anchorage independence from a dildo, but it does not compare to the whippy sensations of rabbit-style vibrators. Sadly, this bunny just wasn't enough to get me off, no matter how I used it, but it remains a fun warm-up for teasing and tickling.

Use

The Silicone Finger Bunny made for Edenfantasys.com (by NMC Ltd.) consists of a bullet and rabbit-shaped sleeve that can be slipped over a finger for some teasing fun. Anyone who likes the whipping ears of a rabbit-style vibrator will hate this finger-held version. It may be shaped like our old favorite pal, but it won't whip up your clitoris by any means.

Couples and singles alike can enjoy the versatility of this toy. It can be used during foreplay and is small enough to fit between bodies during penetrative sex. Use it to tease and stimulate erogenous zones such as the clitoris, balls, nipples, or any area that might be missing out on some vibrations. This can also be used with another toy during solo sessions. That way, the bunny can be placed exactly where it's wanted, independent of where the dildo is.

The bullet is removable and the bunny sleeve can fit any standard-sized bullet should you want or need to replace it. Furthermore, this bullet could be used on its own without the sleeve if desired. Talk about a bargain - two toys for the price of, in most cases, less than one.

Material / Texture

The bullet is made of hard plastic. That rates an 8 on Eden's safety scale. The plastic is latex and phthalate free and nonporous. The bunny sleeve is made of silicone which is rated 10 on the Eden scale. It is also a nonporous, phthalate free material. I would say it is a silicone blend and not 100% silicone. Sadly, my ephemeral wonderment towards these great materials began to fade upon flame testing the silicone material sample that was provided. Please note that I took the necessary precautions during said test, and it should not be done at home. Here are my results:

I can't hold it against Eden since the bunny was never specified to be 100% silicone.

The bullet has no smell, but the bunny has a very faint, rubbery, plastic smell. After several good washes, the smell remains but is not strong in the least.

The bullet is sleek and smooth with no drag to it. The cap has an octagonal shape with 8 flattened surfaces. When using the bullet alone, this cap, along with the bulging o-ring, make it easier to hold onto.

The bunny has quite a bit of drag and, as with many silicone toys, will attract all kinds of lint, fur and dust. A quick rinse before using it will fix that. There is a bit of texture in the face. However, this texture is not anything that can be felt during use. The silicone is pretty thick, yet relatively squishy. This dense silicone does not have much give.

Design / Shape / Size

The whimsical bunny will appeal to many with its cute design. The dainty face appears to be smiling back at you knowingly, and jacket-like ridges along either side amp up this little clit-companion's allure.

The two pieces are small and easy to store. They're great to travel with or tuck away from prowling eyes. If discretion is vital, this bunny will hold its own. The bullet is slightly more conspicuous and may need to be stashed away. The compact size is also small enough to fit between bodies during intercourse. Rather than listing measurements, I have illustrated them in the image below.
dimensions
With the bullet inserted, the whole thing measures roughly 4 inches.

The finger loop has a diameter of 11/16 inches (just under 3/4"). It will stretch a little but will then cut off circulation due to the quality of such dense silicone. Alas, this loop is a one-size fits one.

The bunny ears are soft, stretchy, and squishy. This feature is demonstrated in the following picture.

The bunny's head is rather solid. His nose can poke a little if it ends up in the wrong spot.

This is basically just a vibrating bunny-shaped hunk of silicone. The rigidity of the material allows the buzzy vibrations to travel through it, but the ears do not whip around as presumed.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The bullet is very easy to operate. There is a single button control at the base. One push of the button will turn it on, and each subsequent push will change the setting. The bullet will continue to cycle through the settings one by one until it is turned off. In order to turn it off, the button must be held down for a couple of seconds. There is no way to go backwards through the settings. When turned off and back on, the bullet starts up on the low steady speed.

The bullet has 3 steady vibration strengths and 7 patterns. The patterns are difficult to describe, but very interesting. Here is a picture taken from the included instructions:

The vibrations travel along the entire bunny. I initially thought the sleeve was swallowing up some of the vibrations, but I then discovered that the bullet is just weak to begin with.

The bullet functions on 3 watch batteries. The directions in which they are to be placed in the bullet is pictured along the inner side of a clear plastic insert. This insert should be left in to keep the batteries from noisily rattling around. The bullet is barely heard from under the covers and entirely inaudible through a closed door. The bullet can rattle when being used on its own. This only happens when pressure is applied while the bullet is on its side. When the tip of the bullet is pointing down, this rattling isn't an issue.

I have yet to replace the batteries and have run it for at least a couple of hours in total. It is important to remember to either remove the batteries when storing or to replace the circular paper over the batteries to keep them from draining.

To remove the cap on the bullet, just twist counterclockwise, and the cap pops right off. Replacing the cap is the tricky part. There are two L-shaped grooves that specifically fit the nubs on the inside of the cap. Each nub must be aligned with the corresponding groove in order to close. Once aligned, push and twist the cap down clockwise. This is frustrating if you don't have them aligned perfectly, in which case you will find yourself continuously turning the cap over the bullet until they catch the right groove.

There is a thick, clear, rubber o-ring that is supposed to keep water from getting into the battery compartment. At the top, raised letters say it is waterproof. The instructions state not to submerge the bullet. Since waterproofing is unclear, I have not taken this under water. However, I have run it under the faucet while cleaning with no trouble.

Care and Maintenance

Although the bullet is compatible with all lubricants, the bunny sleeve is not. Since it is silicone, only water-based lubes should be used with it. If the bullet is being used without the sleeve, feel free to use oil, water, or silicone-based lube.

The bullet can be cleaned with warm water and soap, toy cleaner, toy wipes, or with isopropyl alcohol for disinfecting. It cannot be boiled or placed in the dishwasher. Care should also be taken as the instructions state that it is not waterproof. Although the packaging and the bullet itself claim it to be waterproof, I do not understand why these instructions would state otherwise. It is not advised to submerge it under water. Also, be sure not to get water in the battery compartment.

The bunny sleeve can be cleaned the same way as the bullet. In addition, it can be boiled or placed in the top rack of the dishwasher. The crevices in the face and around the ears may require a bit more attention when cleaning.

When storing the bullet, take the batteries out so they won't drain. If you can manage to hang onto the little white paper, you can just put it back in after use. The compact size makes both pieces easy to store. They can be tossed into a drawer or kept tucked away in the packaging. I currently have mine in its packaging until I find somewhere else to keep it.

Packaging

A plastic, clamshell case is moulded around both the sleeve and bullet. It opens up at the top so the contents are easily removed. This packaging can be used for storage if need be. A material sample was provided for a "touch me" in-store experience. It sticks out of the bottom, right corner of the packaging. I decided this would make a great flame test swatch. But it also doubles as a perfect bunny-butt-plug. Aside from that, it is not very useful when buying this bunny online.

Inside the plastic casing, you'll find the bunny sleeve and bullet, the silicone sampler and a small, instructional paper folded up behind the paper insert.

There is little, yet sufficient, information on the insert. It shows the name of the product and gives a few specs about it. It also says that it was made specifically for edenfantasys.com. The back has some simple instructions for using the bullet and the link to Eden once again.

The instructional paper features a few warnings and a description of the vibrational functions. It also tells you about battery installation. There is a small piece of paper that sits atop the batteries that will have to be removed in order to turn it on.

The packaging is somewhat discreet in that there is no mention of sexual use, nor does it have any graphic images on it. It does, however, showcase the toy, and while it does not necessarily look like a sex toy, it doesn't really look like it could be anything else. This would make a nice gift to someone open to receiving a sex toy.

Experience

I received this when it was being offered as a free gift with purchase, but I was nonetheless excited. I do enjoy the whippy bunny ears of my rabbit vibrator every now and then, so I had high hopes for a mix and match bunny, so to speak. Man, was I wrong!

When used on the clitoris during sex, the bunny ears must point down. As such, the vibrations travel down the rigid ears providing nearly imperceptible stimulus. While I accepted the weak, buzzy vibrations, I left all dreams of deep rumbles to other vibrators. I was then faced with the challenge of applying any kind of pressure to my clitoris. I realized that no matter how I pressed the bunny down, the ears would just fold back, the nose would poke me, or the body would have the nose in an awkward place to jab. As I struggled with this endeavor, I kissed my orgasm good-bye.

My partner tried to hold the bunny on my clit to see if the direction mattered. Paired with my favorite dildo, the bunny still left me wanting more. In fact, this felt even worse, since I was only getting the ears and absolutely no pressure from the hard face.

Using the bullet alone did not elicit any satisfaction either. Though I was able to apply pressure with the bullet, I find it numbingly buzzy.

On the plus side, the bunny is fun for teasing, and my partner enjoys it for that purpose as well. The patterns are fun, especially the first one. My partner appreciates the intermittent (2nd) pattern. I can trail the ears over his nipples, balls, and penis to get him all wound up before switching to other toys for the main event.

The finger loop fits perfectly over the knuckle of my middle finger. By folding my finger up, my palm pushes the button, making this a simple one-hand toy. This is just a fun coincidence with my man-hand knuckles. It is actually too small for all of my partner's fingers.

On a final, negative note, I can't stand the cap for the bullet. It's frustrating and always takes time to align properly.

This toy is fun for teasing, but it is not anything special. I would recommend it to beginners. The price is right, the bullet is decent and quiet, and the bunny sleeve is non-threatening. Unfortunately, for us, it just didn't make the cut.
