Don't Leave It To Beaver

The Eager Beaver is a low-budget vibrator. This is a great vibrator if you are appealed by the bendable rotating shaft, but not concerned about the low-quality porous material. It also bears a face on the shaft that is kinda...creepy.

Use

The Eager Beaver is a rabbit style vibrator meant to stimulate it vagina and clitoris simultaneously. The shaft is flexible and can be bent to desire for some rotating g-spot stimulation as well.

This vibe is an ideal size and design for beginners new to penetration or new to dual stimulation, but doesn't mean the advanced should be outted. However, if you are size queen this is probably not something you are looking for. It is not quiet nor is it waterproof so if you are looking for a discreet waterproof toy, this isn't it. However if you are looking into a cheap, low-grade material vibe while not wanting to break to bank - then this could be for you!

Material / Texture

The Eager Beaver is made of Jelly, the material of the devil. However, for being made of jelly I was surprised that there is no smell. I've always associated Jelly with smelly chemicals like phthalates, so I'm unsure if this contains phthalates or not. Either way, it is still a very porous material and not recommended for sharing sans condoms.

Jelly is very flexible and squishy. The flexible Jelly allows the shaft to move comfortable while penetrating firmly all at once. There are light grooves all over the surface of the shaft as well as a creepy face. It is very detailed person, even complete with a pony tail. I think it's an Eskimo. I'm telling you, it's creepy. The clit stimulator is a beaver with its tongue sticking out. You can feel the textured surface by running your fingers along the shaft, however, I cannot feel the grooves while inserted and it doesn't add any extra stimulation. The texture/material is user friendly and can be enjoyed by all users, beginner or advanced. It definitely won't overwhelm a beginner with a texture overload.

Design / Shape / Size

The Eager Beaver is rabbit vibrator, designed to stimulate the vagina and clitoris simultaneously. The bendable flexibly shaft is probably the most intriguing part of this toy. You can bend the shaft to your desire, and as it rotates is meant to provide some g-spot stimulation - Wow!

The vibrator has a total length of 9" in which 4 1/2" are insert-able. It has a circumference of 4 1/2" and is 1 1/2" in diameter. It is not an overly huge toy, and with it's giving material, it is a suitable size for beginners new to penetration. It's probably not something a size queen would be looking for. It's an average sized toy, but with special storage requirements you can't just slip this anywhere for hiding. It is not discreet with its traditional rabbit design and loud motor. I wouldn't call it suitable for traveling - leave this one at home!

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Eager Beaver is easy to control and very beginner friendly. It is powered by 3AA batteries, that are easily inserted by sliding off the cover of the battery compartment located at the back of the base. There is no seal of any sort, meaning this toy is not at all waterproof.

Both the vibrations and twister are controlled separately. There are four buttons in total vertically lined up located on the front of the base. Two control the vibrations: Low, High; two in which control the twister: Slow, Fast.

To start the vibrations, simply press the Low button, if you desire stronger vibrations, press the High button. You must always press the low before the high in order for the vibrations to turn on. To turn it off, you must depress the high then depress the low. Same goes for the twister. You must press the Slow before the Fast to begin, and to stop depress the fast before you depress the slow.

There is a bullet embedded in the clitoral stimulator, however, the jelly material allows the vibrations to travel throughout the length of the shaft. So if you decided to omit using the Twister, you can bend the shaft to a g-spot curve (or keep it straight) while only turning on and enjoying the vibrations.

It is fairly loud. While just using the clit stimulator would be at about 2-3 bees. While using both the shaft and clit stimulator it is at about 4 bees. The majority of the noise is produced by the rotation shaft.

Care and Maintenance

You could call Jelly a high maintenance material. It is a bitch to clean. First, it's very porous. It cannot be bleached or boiled for sterilization, and toy cleaner or soap and water are your only options for cleaning. This is not a waterproof toy, so be very careful not the get water into the battery compartment. The grooves all over the shaft require some extra cleaning care. The grooves can collect gunk and prone to harboring bacteria so be sure to clean them really well. A small soft bristle toothbrush works well for that. After washing, allow it to air dry or dry it down with a lint-free towel as it does collect lint. Make sure it is completely dry before storing so mold doesn't form.

Speaking of storage, these are the vibes you keep away from your precious silicone toys. To avoid melting you must store them in a toy pouch and should never allow them to come in contact with other jelly toys, or any other material for that matter.

One up on Jelly is that it is compatible with all lubricants.

Packaging

Honestly, it's been so long ago that I can't remember what this toy came packaged in. It was obviously nothing great or I would have kept it being the pack-rat I am.

Personal comments

Honestly, if I were to recommend a rabbit vibrator it wouldn't be this one. I actually purchased this before material safety was a concern for me. With the low-grade material along with it's noise and the rotating shaft doesn't work for me, sadly, this vibe gets 1 lonely star from me.

Experience

I was intrigued by the rotating shaft. However, when it came to the test drive I found myself to be really disappointed. I found that my vaginal muscles clenched to the shaft not allowing it to actually rotate like I imagined it would. Instead, it whines really loudly as if I am forcing the mechanism against its will making it sound rather sickly. It's also really loud and not at all discreet. Overall, the jelly material is a huge turn-off for me. Like said, I purchased this before material safety was a concern for me. I never did enjoy this toy solo, and never have introduced this to couple's play. Probably never will.
Follow-up commentary
I ended up tossing this one out. I knew I would never use it again. Sorry Jelly toys, you are a thing of the past.

I feel you. I bought the glow in the dark one a few years ago, and I only really keep it because it glows so much I could use it as a flashlight. Haha. That's it. Ghu, jelly, the worst material in the world, heh?
