Jewel is a traditional vibrator, which is used to stimulate internally and externally. The top allows for pin pointing of the clitoris, which can be nice for use with a partner, especially during intercourse. These are things that most traditional vibrators do, but unfortunately Jewel fails. Her vibrations sound intense and rumbly, but when contact is made, you are disappointed. She makes a better dildo with her nice size and shape, rather than a vibrator, which is not really what you look for in a traditional vibrator. Jewel should only be used vaginally, since there is not a flared base. She can be used externally on the anus, but do not insert. This could result in you sitting in the waiting area buzzing away, waiting to see the DR, which would be very embarrassing. I would have to say that Jewel is not even ideal for beginners; there are many better options out there for a beginner.

Jewel is made of plastic, which has a safety rating of an 8. Plastic is a great beginner material, but some might find it hard and uncomfortable. The outside of this shaft has a velvety feel to it, but is firm. There is no smell or taste with this plastic. Plastic is non porous, phthalates free, latex free, and hypoallergenic, so it is great for all. If you want to share this, you should disinfect with an alcohol and water solution or use condoms. The shaft is smooth and has no added texture.

Jewel is available in three color options pink, purple, and black. I have the purple, due to the amazing sale price. At the bottom are tiny jewels, which give her, her name. Jewel totals in at 6.5” long, but is only insert-able 5.5”. It starts out as tapered top, but not a pointy one, more rounded, then has womanly curves down the to the bottom cap. The bottom cap has three different colored jewels on it, pink, clear, and light purple. After these jewels is the speed dial, which can be easily hit. The largest circumference Jewel has is 4” (1.25” diameter), but the shaft curves on down to 3.25” (just over 1” diameter).

Jewel has nice size and shape, which are great for all levels of users. She would be great if it were not for the weak vibrations. The size is travel friendly, but there is nothing discreet about the design, which you will want to keep in mind for your suitcase.

Jewel is powered by 2 AA batteries, which slide in the bottom in there own plastic case. The functions are controlled by the dial at the bottom, which is sensitive, so you will want to watch while in use. She has a few different speeds going from low to high, but there really is not much of a difference. The sound is brain rattling, literally. When you turn this on there is no being discreet with the sound. The whole toy rattles and buzzes. With a sound like that you would think powerhouse, right? Not with Jewel, she is all noise. There are hardly any vibrations even felt. A cell phone has strong vibrations. Jewel is also a battery guzzler, so be warned. Jewel is coming in at 1vroom and 5bees. She does have to waterproof seal and is marketed as 100% waterproof, however she is more like splash proof.

Plastic is very easy to take care of, since it is non porous. You can clean it with soap and water, toy cleaner, or an alcohol solution. Then you can store this just about anywhere that is discreet. If you need to use lube, you will be happy to know that plastic is compatible with all kinds of lubes.

The packaging is not at all discreet, so you should wrap if gifting.
