The Off With Their Head Silicone Hitachi cap from Vixen Creations is an alternative (a better one in my opinion) to the head that comes with every Hitachi Magic Wand for many reasons and while it does have its flaws and annoyances it IS a satisfactory product in my books.

The OWTH (this is what I will refer to it as from now on as spelling out that many times is a pain) Hitachi head is much more easy to take care of than the original Hitachi head which I tossed as it appeared to be growing mold despite me thoroughly washing and air drying it every time; the reason behind this is mostly because of the fact it's made of silicone vs rubber/plastic. Silicone isn't porous and easy to disinfect/clean by boiling it for a few minutes or by sticking in the top rack of your dishwasher with no harsh soaps/detergents added in.

Because the OWTH is made of silicone however it makes the head a dust magnet even if its left alone for a few minutes and therefore must be rinsed off or wiped down each and every time before use and may attract dust/dirt when in use if your play area isn't 100% clean. I suppose you could bag the head while its attached when not in use or remove it and store it in the standard Vixen Creations dual-ended plastic tube it comes in (along with a slip of paper on how to attach it and remove the original head) but sticking it back on repeatedly can be annoying if you use the Hitachi a lot.

While the OWTH head is slightly rough to rub against your naughty bits (on both genders) without lubricant I rarely find myself using lube with the head. The head has one side with a 'tongue' flap on the base of it and another side with three ridges which are supposed to give it texture to rub against the sensitive bits of your body, though I find that using them requires lube which for me is a hassle to clean up when the wand works its magic (heh) so quickly; I don't really use either of them outside of sometimes rubbing the ridged side over my nipples. The OWTH head along with the Hitachi are passable as a massager (the original purpose and non-sexual one) so I would say they're both travel friendly although they may not be able to be taken on a plane; the Hitachi doesn't work with foreign wall outlets either.

The OWTH head actually increased the amount of noise the wand generates (for me at least) by a bit so be wary of that if you live in a shared space but it seems my wand is making more noise on top of that due to the actual 'wand' portion bzzzing loudly for some reason unknown to me.

Overall though this is a much better head than the original that comes with the Magic Wand in my opinion, the main reason being that you can thoroughly clean it in a heartbeat. I do wish the few problems I've had with it didn't exist but as the title says, the OWTH isn't quite perfect.

Originally a hope for a more convenient and easier to clean Hitachi, this thing just doesn't stop gathering dust on it and it's become a hassle to clean it off each time before I use it thus also limiting my use of the wand. Maybe some day Vixen Creations will come out with a less dust-attracting version of it?
