The Couture Transcend vibrator is a fantastic wand massager and really produces much stronger vibrations than expected. It can easily be used on any part of the body, but is of course especially stimulating when used on the clitoris. In addition to being used for solo play, this massager can easily be used for couple play as well.

This toy is made completely from silicone, which is always a plus in my book. The material is not at all porous, has no odor whatsoever, and is phthalates and latex free.

The entire toy, except for the flexible neck and the base of the head, is completely smooth. The neck, as can be seen in the pictures, is ridged, which allows for it to bend. And the small ribbed portion on the base of the head allows for the possibility of additional stimulation. To be honest, though, we haven't really used this texture during play at all, as my wife usually prefers the smooth texture instead.

The Transcend is a relatively small massager, but it certainly packs a punch (more on that later). The dimensions are as follows:

The relatively compact size of the massager allows for it to be easily carried in a suitcase for travel. It is fairly obvious, however, what the toy is, so you may not want to leave it lying around if there are prying eyes nearby.

To access the battery compartment, simply unscrew the base of the massager. The Transcend takes 4 AA batteries. We've used this toy for about 10 hours so far, and it's still running on the original set of batteries.

The controls for this toy are found on the base, and can be seen in the picture below. The controls feature 4 buttons: on/off, +, -, and F (Function). To power on the toy, simply press the on/off button. At any time, regardless of the current function, just press this button again to turn off the toy. There are a total of 10 different functions, featuring vibrations, pulsations, and escalations. To cycle through each of these, just press the F button. Unfortunately, even with 10 functions, there is not a constant vibration mode. During use, my wife has often commented on the fact that she wished this was not the case, as she enjoys having a constant mode.

In order to increase or decrease the intensity of the vibrations, just press the + and - buttons, respectively. There are a total of 5 different settings for intensity/speed.

In addition, the base features an LED light in the shape of a ring around the base that lights up when the toy is on. This provides a small amount of assistance in locating the buttons if you are in the dark.

The wand is completely waterproof, and works perfectly in the shower. In fact, we have used this almost exclusively in the shower due to this feature.

One pretty significant downside to this toy is the sheer volume of the vibrations that are produced. For such a small toy, it definitely creates strong vibrations but also can make quite a racket. Even under covers, the vibrations can still be clearly heard, especially if it is on one of the higher intensity settings. This is just something to keep in mind if noise is an issue for you.

Because the Transcend is made from silicone, it is best to use a water-based lube with it, and not a silicone-based lube. Once you're done playing, washing the massager is very easy - just use warm water and soap. No need to worry about getting water where it shouldn't be, as the toy is fully waterproof. The cover on the head of the toy can also be removed if you'd like to clean extensively underneath it.

If you'd like to store the toy in the original packaging, this can easily be done. However, my wife and I have been keeping it in a small toy pouch, as the box takes up too much space in our drawer.

The Transcend comes in a simple plastic packaging that displays various information regarding the toy on the outside. Once again, this results in it being very obvious what this is, so the packaging is not very discreet. No manual is included inside. Instead, inside the box is a plastic tray that holds the massager.

We were both very curious as to whether or not the flexible head would be a feature we'd really take advantage of, but quickly realized that it probably wasn't. While it is great to have the option available, we rarely use the massager in a way that requires the head to bend. The neck is fairly firm, so the head doesn't move back and forth super easily, which is great when that's not something you're wanting.

My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed using this toy. The main downside to it has been the noise, which was a bit of a factor when we decided to take it with us on vacation recently when visiting family. Because of the location of the guest room we were in, we couldn't afford to be very loud during our sessions, so we had to be particularly careful about using it under multiple sheets. But since returning home, this has not been an issue at all for us.

We received this massager at the same time that we ordered a Hitachi wand. It has been very interesting comparing the two, and surprisingly, we've actually used this more than the Hitachi, mainly due to its size and the fact that it is cordless. In fact, this massager has recently become one of our go-to toys and has definitely received a decent amount of use.
