Unsure Delight

I was really pleased with my first plastic insertable toy, the Waterproof Turbo Glider Blueberry Bliss so I was excited to try out another similar toy! I choose the Slim Smooth Delight – traditional vibrator by Doc Johnson.

This traditional vibrator is best for external stimulation (body parts such as clit or nipple) or internal stimulation for women. Sorry men, I DO NOT recommend this one to you due to the fact it is sooooo slim and there is no base to hold on to. Don't want anything getting stuck!

This toy can be used by yourself, or your partner can use it on you. It is great for teasing and foreplay, and for some, to go all the way. Whether you are advanced or a beginner, you might like this toy if you like multiple settings, thin designs, and firm plastic.

The Material: Plastic
Plastic has a safety rating from EdenFantasys of 8/10, this is a pretty safe rating. The components of plastic are synthetic or semi synthetic polymerization product. Plastic is a non-porous and phthalate-free material. It is firm and has a smooth texture. It is not bendable at all, it is one solid piece of construction. It allows for a more pin-pointed stimulation. You can press this against you and it will be hard and immobile. It is more rough then say, silicone or jelly. The toy had no distinct taste or smell.

I think advanced users and beginners could both enjoy this toy if they like the hard plastic material and smooth texture.

The Doc Johnson toy is a very simple traditional vibrator. It is pure white from head to bottom. The only thing that is not white is on the base of the toy. On the base it says, "Doc Johnson" in black, bold letters. There is also a button on the bottom that is a light green color (it is glow in the dark!).

From the tip of this toy, you'll find a small thin bulb. Then it goes very thin, almost like a neck to the bulb head. Continuing downward there is another bigger bulb, and on to the shaft that is all one circumference.

This toy is on the small end for the width/circumference. It is on the small to average end for the length. Due to it's size, it is probably more recommended to beginners. But then again, there are always the advanced users that like small toys too!

The design and shape are a dead give away that this toy is a sex toy. There is no denying it. Therefore it is not discreet to travel with. It is however an easy toy to store. You can put it back in the original plastic sleeve, or another plastic bag, and it can fit nearly anywhere.

This toy runs off of 2 AAA batteries that are not included with the toy. Do note, it is important to remove the batteries after use, to keep the batteries from draining and eroding. It is clearly marked on the base of the toy (-) and (+) so you know how to insert the batteries correctly. Once you insert them, you screw the bottom cap on in the grooves clockwise. Then you can turn it on.

This toy is very easy to operate. There is just one button on the bottom that turns the toy on, rotates through the functions and turns the toy off. Oh, and did I mention the button is glow-in-the-dark? :)

The 7 functions are:
1. Low steady rumble
2. Medium steady rumble
3. High steady rumble
4. Low to high roller coaster - stops for a few second
5. Fast pulsations
6. Fast quick pulsations
7. Very high steady rumble

Waterproof or not? Here is the thing, the reviews that I read say no, but the product page says yes. I don't know who to believe! There was absolutely no box or instructions to verify, so I am NOT going to test it! I don't want to kill the toy and my batteries and risk harm to myself in case it is truely not. Also, there is no rubber ring that usually indicates a toy is waterproof. So, let's not.

Since this toy is plastic, it is VERY easy to clean! It can easily be washed down with antibacterial soap and hot water or by wiping down with isopropyl alcohol.

Another great thing about this material is - all lubricants are safe lubricants. You can use this toy with your favorite water, oil, or silicone lubricant.

As for storing this toy, mine is in a small bag with other plastic toys. It is under the bed in a larger container, with lubricants and toys. This is a safe, dark and cool place.

The packaging wasn't really packaging. It was just a plastic bubble wrapper sleeve. I guess it is better than it coming with nothing at all. There was no instruction manual or even a name on the toy. The only thing there is, is a small sticker that says it is "Made in Taiwan".

Although the packaging is kind of pathetic, I don't really care. I like that they didn't waste money on packaging. I like that I don't have to throw something out. This is better for the environment! Plus I am re-using the plastic sleeve for storage!

If you were to gift this toy, it is not the most appropriate packaging for a gift. But for the environment, it is great!

So I have mixed feelings about this toy. It is not as strong as others I've used. It doesn't give me the pleasure like other toys do. But I do like the size and the shape. I also really like the plastic material. But when it comes to grabbing for a toy, I will choose others before this one.

I tried inserting it, it is just alright, nothing amazing. Plus I can't use it in the shower. I tried it on my clit, we went nowhere. But the first plastic toy I got, I LOVED, so what gives? I had high hopes! Sadly, I just think it is a little too weak for me.
