I was recommended this set by my gynecologist. I had been having problems with painful intercourse and after a very diligent doctor, found out that I was having muscle tension problems in my pelvis. I was told to use this to help train my muscles to relax. It was very weird getting told by a doctor to go buy a vibrator, but since I already had a regular vibrator, it wasn't all that weird purchasing a dilator set.

Even though I am rather familiar with sex toys, I loved how female friendly the appearance of this set was. It came in an adorable purple box and had a pink mesh bag. Everything except the nubby cover was pink. All the sleeves were smooth plastic and the handle handle was lined for easy grip.

I love the handle. It's adds a lot of convenience and extra reach while using the dilator. The fact that it's completely waterproof is great added benefit. I also love the interlocking sleeves. They are great not only to save space (no need for several different sized dilators, you only need the one), but they are also great for storage and travel. All you have to do is stack and lock all the sleeves, and away you go.

The low setting is great while used as a dilator. However, the higher settings work great as a normal vibrator. Just as with many vibrators,the higher the setting you use, the louder the noise. The set does come with a nubby cover. I have not used it yet, and I'm not sure I plan to.

For a first-time user, the set may be a little intimidating because of all the different parts, but because it's made just for females with pelvic pain, it is much less intimidating than other sex toys. I am very pleased with this dilator kit. It was a great feeling learning that sex didn't have to be painful.

I have only used my set a few times so far, but it definitely seems to be working. My boyfriend has been very understanding of my problem, and when my doctor also recommended we use it during sex for clitoral stimulation, my boyfriend was more than thrilled to try it out.
