Do you have a riding crop? That's my partner and I's favorite BDSM type toy. We have the Fashionistas Riding Crop and we adore it! It can be used gently, or can give a nice sting!

Also, a good pair of cuffs would be great to get. These have great reviews and are in your budget. I'm not sure how you feel about leather though.

These are made of neoprene and are $20. They're good for beginners if you aren't sure how far you want to go into it, and they're softer than leather.

You could go a totally different route and try bondage rope.

There are so many options, many well within your price range! I would personally start with a crop and some cuffs if you don't already have them.

I have a mini crop and a flogger but I am not sure how into BDSM he is into, I still haven't told him I have any of these items just that I like it, and these look like such nice products, I may have to order them soon. Thank you for your help.

Have you considered looking into books first? This would be a MUCH more beneficial expenditure than toys with neither of you being very experienced. Look at books like The New Topping Book and The New Bottoming Book, SM 101, and Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns to start with. These are non fiction, educational, instructional books about BDSM play and the lifestyle. You can get some good basics and safety info and maybe some ideas of the possibilities! While BDSM equipment can indeed be expensive, there are certainly options for budget friendly toys or sometimes even some household items that work exceptionally well for kinky purposes and are cheap or you may already own them! For him, since you're trying to introduce him, a book called When Someone You Love is Kinky might be extremely helpful. Personally, i think this would be a much better use of your money and would be better for you and your partner in the long run. i think you'd be kinda jumping in the deep end to start investing in toys without a little education. You might also look for some munches or other local BDSM educational or BDSM events where you and your partner could get some good information and advice. Feel free to PM me if you want any additional advice. i'm active in the BDSM community and live the lifestyle. While i'm not an expert, i can point you to some good resources and ideas. Safety and education are vital! Good luck!

I've been in the scene off and on since I turned 18 so I know most of the in's and out's for safety but your suggestion is very helpful to me and I know it will be for him, since he is pretty much ok with anything, other than hitting me in the face during play that's his hard stop.

Still, education isn't a bad place to start with a new partner. Personally, i wouldn't want to be the one educating my Dominant because it would sort of shatter the illusion for me. Also, getting involved in your local community, if you aren't already, might be a great inspiration to him. i was sort of in your shoes when i met my Ma'am, having been in and around kink myself for sometime, but She had no real experience in S/M so Wwe started out by attending a MAsT (a support group for Master/slave, Dominant/submissive relationships) meeting and, shortly after, Wwe attended a weekend retreat for kinky women. Over the course of the weekend, Wwe not only learned a ton of new information and ideas, met a lot of amazing new friends, and were pointed to some great resources, but i watched my quiet, relatively shy girlfriend turn into my confident, demanding, sexy Ma'am and it was an incredibly positive and affirming experience for Uus both. Even without the education, the experience was immensely valuable. It quite literally changed Oour lives. Since then, involvement in the community has become vital to Uus. Again, good luck in your exploration!
