Ive tried spicy hot chocolate before it was awesome. In traditional Mexican Hot Chocolate there is always some thrown in. My sister recently told me she had some brownies with some chili flakes in it and it was to die for. Im gonna have to hunt down a few spicy chocolate recipes myself.

Well in the Remodel Sexy program, I talk a lot about foods that nourish various organs. When those organs our out of balance (energetically), we feel a plethora of emotions.

This recipe is incredible because it's green colour soothes the heart chakra and also eases frustration and anger by fuelling and cooling the liver. I include video tutorials as part of the Remodel Sexy program that's available to paid subscribers only. But here is a preview that I sent out for my Red Couch Confessions newsletter:

What would you recommend for people who don't cook a lot of homemade stuff? Do you have an easy recipe to suggest?

Hey, Melissa. I come from a family that hates spicy foods, but I LOVE it. Can you think of a dish that would be delicious non-spicy and great with a little kick added to it?

So what emotions does the liver cause when it's hot and when it's cool? When should I decide to eat green things?

Melissa is going to talk with us today about how to do emotional eating right, so we can all feel sexy. Everybody welcome Melissa!
Thanks for having me!

According to Chinese Medicine, our organs are connected to how we feel believe it or not. For example when out of balance...

liver - frustration, anger
spleen (governs digestion) - worry, obsession
lungs - grief
kidneys - fear

So various foods help to nourish these organs, sedate some of these emotions to help us. Eating healthy can make us feel sexy and remember people sexy is how we feel from the inside out. When we eat well we look and FEEL better!

So what do you need for this soup?

Spicy Green Jamaican Soup

2 small onions, chopped
3 cloves of garlic, chopped
3 bird's eye chilies
1 thumb-sized chunk of ginger, chopped
1 Tbsp butter or vegetable oil
2 tsp turmeric
2 tsp cumin
2 green zucchini
2 small potatoes
2 good fistfulls of kale (I used collard greens, because that's what was in my fridge)

I have my rice jar hanging out in the corner because I wasn't sure when I started if I'd be hungry enough for it or not, but it turns out I was.

Maybe Melissa wants to give a few tidbits about some of these ingredients?

They look fantastic individually. Any improvement in the combination is pure bonus.

Hey there, you can definitely make this soup and simply omit the spices! That's not a problem at all. I love topping this soup with toasted walnuts...soooooo good!

Combining onions and cumin is a can't-fail proposition, in my book.

Toasted walnuts are so amazing. I hate how the ones my mom always had were stale (we lived a long way from a grocery store, so she bought them in bulk). I always thought I hated walnuts.

Then I got some fresh ones. And fell in love.

Walnuts are so awesome. There's this blackberry cake that is to die for! It has walnuts throughout and it's almost like a berry banana bread, without the banana. Though that might be good in there with it as well.

Walnuts are delicious, but I love to snack on almonds. They sell wasabi covered ones that my mom will not eat, too, and the spice keeps me from eating them all in one go.
