I introduced anal play to my girlfriend. She's not fond of being on the receiving end but doesn't mind having it the other way around. She put a dildo in me and had sex with her on top. The issue is that the dildo will just slide right out if it isn't held in place.
I'm having a hard time deciding which toy to get that will definitely hold during different sex positions. Get a Grip is my favorite for on top positions...works on bottom too. The female purple version (Same toy) is called the love handle.

The metal worx luv plug is good as well. Great for being on bottom. Might slip out a little on top now and then.

You may want to check out the aneros line too, but it can be hit or miss with those. Finding the right shape/size is a bit of trial and error.

Having an anal toy stay in is dependent on the size of the toy and the toy:neck ratio. Meaning, a toy first has to be large enough to stay in to begin with. Anything too small would simply slide out on its own. Secondly, the size difference between the body of the toy and the neck must be enough so that your anus can "grip" onto it and keep it in. Keeping an anal toy in through orgasm will typically require even more because the muscle contractions expel plugs.

My personal favorites that stay in during any position and through orgasm are the Pure Plug 2.0 and Icicles No. 14. However, both are larger plugs and more suitable for at least a moderately experienced user.

I'm personally a big fan of the Ryder when it comes to have it in during intercourse. From the massagers it's the Pfun plug however it's quite heavy and can be used mostly if not only in the missionary position. The lighter alternative is the Aneros Helix.

I use an Aneros Massager. They stay in very well. They are probably the most copied design out there. Not sold on Eden any more. The Ergo on Eden is the closest in shape and design to an Aneros.
