If you've never been penetrated by anything, it's more than likely the hymen. Hymens come in all shapes and sizes, and can seem very strange looking if you've never seen one before. Here's a link for more information about hymens and even some drawings of a few different types of hymens.

My personal guess is that it was your pubic bone. Mine can easily be felt during play.
