Do you believe a site like the EF Forum can really sustain new questions forever or after a while will it just be repetition of questions and comments, for the most part?

Forums are interesting to me because while topics may begin to repeat themselves you have a turn over of people. In other words: older forums regulars leave and new people come in. What might be an overdone or old topic for some can be new to the newer users. Since some forums don't allow necroposting (reviving of really old long dead threads) some topics are bound to repeat themselves.

I think at some point it will get repetitive but by then the original topic will have aged-out so it would be a different perspective on the same thing. So not redundant. Besides, there's always current events to talk about.

There is alot of repetition it seems, but, it could go on forever and ever.

I see nothing wrong with repetition sometimes because there may be newcomers to the site that have questions pertaining to old topics.

Eventually there might be some repitition... but until then, I'm sure people will come up with all kinds of things.

Of course things will get repeated, but the beauty of the community is that we have so many different people that someone is bound to have a different take on a topic and contribute it. I don't mind the repetition because things are always changing, opinions, knowledge and available information. Even in the old posts you can find something new!

I agree with Stormy here.

There are only so many original questions... but there are countless ways and viewpoints on how they are answered!!!! And for me, that is worth it!!!

I think repetition will become more common but eventually it'll probably plateau and you'll have a ration of repetition to new that stays constant. That's why the social area is important on the forum. I don't think it'll be a problem though. People change in time and there will be new people to bring up and comment on the old issues. It's how things change, yet stay the same.

There may be new things to talk about, but at this point, most people are unoriginal and simply post repeats of things that have already been said. That's actually why I rarely post threads anymore - there's no reason to, it's all been said and done before. I honestly wish that Edenfantasys would delete the repeat threads. Their presence is getting rather irritating, to be fully honest.

I'm new, but when it starts to be too much like Bill Murray's Groundhog Day, I'll probably become bored.

Besides current events. The stuff posted will be the same.

I'm sure that it will be/is repetitive.I can't tell you how many times I've answered the same question. It has gotten to the point where sometimes I got to click on find to see if I've answered already. It just the way it is on forums like this.I don't like it when people tell the person oh someone asked this already in 2008.

I think reviewers or editors should find forums that are repetitive and merge them with the first string, or just delete them, although that might be a huge waste of time, lol. Maybe just have old conversations that are not receiving new comments, or one's that never received any just get deleted after a year. I know I have some with spelling mistakes that I would like to delete if I could.

There will be a few new things, but it will mostly be repetition.

I'll laugh when this discussion topic gets repeated.

Too bad the moderators can't combine threads to reduce the redundancy.

maybe but there are people who always will ask questions to be informed and I'm sure none has a problem answering questions to help other people.

Politics, current events, new toys, new techniques, there's a lot of things that can come up. Some forums will bring up older stuff, but that helps keep things interesting

Eden Fantasies is very very slow compared to other forums. Eventually things will start getting reposted with minor variations, but it won't happen for years.

I am sure new things get posted all the time, but it makes sense that some questions will be repeats. That's okay It's still fun answering!!

I think there will be a large amount of repetition but as new issues arise and new things happen the questions will continue to have some variety.

Many posts are already redundant. I think this will only get worse in the long run. Of course every forum topic won't be repetition but many will and are.
