We love glass toys - and metal as well. The best advice to read a lot of reviews for the ones that intrigue you. My wife doesn't like smooth glass - but texturing has to be subtle. Find a good reviewer about your age and one who you seem to relate to.
You'll inevitably end up with more than one - so don't fret too much - experiment.

I just started using glass in the middle January and I now own 6! I love them. You can check out my reviews if you'd like since I'm a beginner with them it might help you out. My first was the Amazing Swirls. I like texture so most of mine have some sort of texture (swirl, nub, ect) but I also have Icicles no. 8 which is just wavy like without texture and I love it. Many people suggested the bent graduate glass dildo to me but I went with the Amazing Swirls. I just knew I would like texture. If you don't think you would then maybe just get something plain like the Icicles no. 8 or something straight like the candy cane or inked glass shaft depending on the head you like. I would also watch the circumference and go with something small before picking something with a 5in circumference which I still haven't worked up to. I find 4 3/4 to be the biggest I can handle right now. Hm, the hearts wand or reflections serenity, pink allure. Just some ideas. I loved all the ones I have so far. I'm waiting on icicles no. 2 and the laced gold g and hope to have them reviewed by the middle/end of next week.

I tend to lose some muscle control when I start getting very close to orgasm, which means that if I'm using something firm like glass, I run the risk of banging my cervix pretty hard (ouch!). So I don't like glass for thrusting. A curved toy used in a rocking motion, however, works out much better and can give some pretty intense G-spot stimulation. The only glass dildo that's really worked for me so far is the Bent Graduate. It was my first glass toy, and I love it.
