So, my waterproof vibe turned out not to be so waterproof.

Some moisture got into the battery compartment, the batteries leaked, and the contacts corroded. Is there any way to clean the contacts or should I just toss it?

If it's waterproof, does that mean it's safe for use in the bathtub-or does it depend?

I refer you to the Toy Repair DIY by Tim (see page 3):

First, we need to decide what that crap is. Mine has rust on it from letting water get inside the battery compartment, this could also be from humidity or even water based lube. Either way, this can be fixed and used again.

Now if it happens to be battery acid, you have to decide if the toy is worth saving. In most cases, it is not, it will depend on how much corrosion is there and your willingness to risk that corrosion getting on you bits. If you are willing to do the work and take the chance then please feel free to PM or email me and I will explain how to fix it...

Also, if it's still within Eden's 60 day return policy and it states that it's waterproof you can return it. Most manufacturers have a warranty against defects like that too, so you can also contact them about it if the instructions state that it's waterproof.

I hope you can get it fixed or replaced, especially if it was an expensive toy!

I agree with Ryuson, that is why even though a lot of my toys state waterproof I am scared to even put them in the shower. I hope you are able to get it replaced if its within the 60 days or contact the company who makes the toy an see what they say.
