hey guys - what the hell? my clit in recent days has been on the fritz, regardless of the 1 time in 3 days i've had sex, most of which was not activity focusing on my clit (it was with a boy... go figure).

my clit is raw as all getout! i'm really not sure what the hell is going on.

i had a bladder infection this week and got on antibiotics for it - its symptoms are now gone, but this clit thing is pretty obnoxious.


i tried to soothe it myself and just ended up with searing pain. last night i tried to masturbate, but couldn't get off (i know, the sad state of my life!) and that didnt really help either.

its not the first time this has happened either - it usually only lasts 2-3 days and comes pretty infrequently.

it just feels like a super raw bundle of nerves. what is this? has this ever happened to you?



please note this is not accompanied by any other symptoms such as vulva pain or labia pain. i found some google instances of ladies with the same, but not like this, and usually for weeks at a time.

Unless it's being chafed in some way — by underwear or a piercing — I'd place the blame on the antibiotics. I've never had the vaginal area dry out, however an antibiotic for a UTI will sometimes trigger a yeast infection for me.

Mine was caused by tight pants and my underwear was making my clit raw. I do this also with toy play. Or my husband's mustache has given it whisker burn. Use witch hazel and tucks on it to bring down the swelling and irritation--works for me. Also soak in a hot bath with epsom salts--half a bag per bath for tow-three nights. You will be good as new. I do this to myself frequently with toys on our marathon weekends, so have also figured out fast cures so I can go again.

Hmm, could it have been irritated by the pubic hair on the guy you were with? I've had that happen a bit before, though only on my labia. Have you changed detergents or anything lately? The epsom salts sound like a really good suggestion, I hope you get to the bottom of it and feel better soon!

Too much friction on a sensitive clit can cause this. I'd second js250 and check into what sort of pants you're wearing or: during play if you keep your legs together during friction play, oral or otherwise, it tends to help. (My partner is a bit sensitive.)

Yup, this has happened to me. Sometimes from tight clothes, sometimes from using vibrators too often, sometimes it's set off from my piercing. It sucks!! It does go away after a few days and warm water seems to help ease the pain some.

I'm not sure I've ever experienced anything of quite the same severity, but I've had a raw clit once or twice...embarrassingly , from overusing a vibrator. I like a lot of pressure, and sometimes I'll go overboard. I've never really done anything for it other than lay off masturbating for a few days.

The epsom salts sound like a good idea, though. I haven't tried them specifically for this, but I used to do a ton of dance and would sometimes have problems with my feet, and soaking them in epsom salts seemed to take the edge off the pain.

When I had to be on antibiotics for an infection after surgery (on my leg, nothing to do with genitals), I had the worst stinging raw pain ever in "that" area. Everything became swollen, raw, and painful. The doctor said that can happen with the antibiotics, and to watch for a yeast infection. I didn't get one, but I was damn glad to be done with that course of medicine. It went back to normal after that.

If you are a freak I am too. I have had this going on for the last 2 days! I thought maybe, I played too much and got my vibrator too hot. So along with the friction resulted in a sore clit. But usually that goes away in one night. However, this did not. So I pulled out the mirror to do some inspecting and I found the problem. I have some small tears around my clit. These are very tiny, but they make my whole clit sore! You might have the same things going on.

I've had this happen, sometimes just from really going to town with a toy, or My Man going crazy on me. You said, "i had a bladder infection this week and got on antibiotics for it - its symptoms are now gone, but this clit thing is pretty obnoxious." Antibiotics PLUS genital irritation usually equals a yeast infection.

Get some Femstat (butoconazole vaginal) or Vagistat-1 (tioconazole) These are less likely to cause burning like Regular Monistat or Clotrimizole.

When I use butoconazole or tioconazole, I make the one day ointment last two days, otherwise it just falls out and makes mess. I find it works better if I insert half the tube the first night and the rest of it the next night. I also wear a pad, because it leaks out and makes a mess.

You can also use some Lanicane cream for the pain, but I find when I use Lanicane on or near my clit, it takes me a day or so for it to wear off before I can have an orgasm. I guess it really numbs!

If able, it doesn't hurt to eat yogurt that has live and active cultures! Yogurt is a super food and known to help, especially when recently having antibiotics.

thank you for responding - i was hoping you would, specifically! as it turns out, i went to the doc this morning and i have a yeast infection AND bacterial vaginosis. at the same fucking time! AND a bladder infection. AND the worst case of fever blisters of my life - my entire mouth on the right side, inside is covered with them, and i have some outside as well. it hurts even to drink water or talk. i've holed myself up in my apt. with my kitties and only come out with the word 'vow of silence' in ink on my hand to ward off from socialites at the local cafe, to get online.


geeeeez. i was REALLY not wanting this to be a yeast infection. but it fucking is. AND BV??!?!?! i get both alot but i thought it had to be one or the other, that they were opposites of eachother. apparently not.


and apparently my body fucking hates me.
