Pleasure #1 - butt plug discontinued by Happy Valley - review by Eva Schwaltz

The Pleasure #1 from Happy Valley (A Canadian company) is a good choice for beginners to anal, or those looking for a body safe warm up plug. The base is firm enough that it won’t get sucked in, so no need to worry about emergency room visits over this toy. It’s not curved at all, so you won’t get much P-spot or G-spot stimulation from this plug, it’s more for beginners who want to get used to the feeling of something in their butt.

It is entirely made of silicone, so you can share it as long as you sterilize it. It is way too small for any condoms to stay on it, but some toy covers might work if you are worried. There are no seams or rough edges from what I can tell, it is made very well. The neck is a bit more flexible than the rest of the toy, and the head is nicely tapered for easy insertion. It is firm enough to insert with little effort, but flexible enough that it won’t feel uncomfortable during use.

There is quite a bit of drag so you’ll want to use lube. Stick to water based only as silicone lubes can deteriorate the smoothness of this plug. Some cat hair and dust will stick to it, but a quick rinse will do.

This is about the size of a man’s middle finger. It is 4 ½” in length and 3 ¾” insertable with a circumference of 3”. The base is 2” long and 1 ¼” wide so it won’t get in the way. If you are at all experienced with anal play, you’ll probably want something a bit larger.

I picked out this plug because I wanted something quite small, body safe, and something I could use in combination with other toys. Plus, I was itching to try something from Happy Valley, so here was my opportunity. The Pleasure 1 turned out to be a great choice. It’s small enough that I don’t have any trouble inserting it, but it is big enough to be noticed while I use another toy vaginally. I haven’t worn this out in public yet, but when I have my pants on, there’s no awkward bulge near my butt area. This is best suited for someone new to anal play, or this would be a good warm up plug to move on to larger toys.

Soap and water before and after each use will keep it nice and clean. However, you can sterilize it with a 10 per cent bleach solution or boil it for a few minutes. Remember only use water based lubes with this unless you do a spot check on the base to make sure the silicone lube doesn’t bond with the toy. This is basically small enough to tuck anywhere that is convenient for you.
