I think beginners should try something with a little more give and a smaller diameter. While Romp is designed to fit the inside of your butt like a glove, it may not fit every individual correctly. In no way does this anal toy favor one sex over the other. Both men and women can definitely use this. The gentle and natural curves of Romp will please G-spots and P-spots alike.
It is a rigid toy, so those who have never experienced with that type of thing may want to look at something with a smaller diameter as rigid toys tend to feel bigger or about as big as they look. Romp is made of a type of wood called Wenge. This type of wood is known for its dark appearance. Even though it has a dark color to it, it is very easy to see the gorgeous natural grain and patterns in the wood. After hand making the perfect toy, NE finishes the toy by applying their patented Lubrosity coating. This coating makes the toy water resistant, and it also repels bacteria. Lubrosity coating helps seal the entire surface, so you never have to worry about getting splinters. This special coating is taste and smell free. It gives the toy a shiny and slippery surface. It does not let the toy suck up lube. I also believe that it prevents the Romp from retaining any smells.

Romp is an original dildo that holds its own against all of its competitors. The blunt tip has never felt pointy or irritating, and the 1 1/2 inch diameter is large enough to stretch me out. As a couple's toy, it is so-so. The base is a little long, and it partly covers up my vaginal opening. Of course the way to get around this would be to turn it around so that the base is toward my back. Silicone and water based lubricants can be used with the Romp anal toy. There aren't any seams or textures that could potentially prove problematic when it comes to cleaning. Any lubes and other fluids wash off very easily. If you want a deeper clean, NE says you can wipe down the toy with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). If sharing, cover the shaft with a condom. Always be sure to clean before and after use. Romp is small enough for easy traveling and storage. I store mine in the box it came in as it wasn't overly large or tacky.

It pulls apart to show a removeable layer of foam and a little care and maintenance guide. The guide is quick and full of information. Underneath all of this, you will fing your Romp nestled in the padded box. Romp will be secured by elastic hat bands to keep it from jostling and moving around during shipping. This also makes the perfect box to put your Romp in while traveling. In my opinion, the box is too nice to throw it away. They cared enough to come up with this lovely packaging, so I can't bring myself to get rid of it. This box would make the perfect presentation as a gift because the oustide of the box does not contain anything crude or sexual.
