The Classic Butt Plug Junior by Doc Johnson is designed to be inserted anally. While many people enjoy using butt plugs during intercourse or masturbation, this one in particular doesn't stay in place very well. I have found that this butt plug is better used for situations in which you will be remaining somewhat still.

Because of the tapered design and generally small size, this butt plug is perfect for beginners who are looking to slowly stretch their anal cavities. Since I fit this category, I found that this product was perfect for when I am just relaxing at home. The flared base will keep the toy from getting lost inside of your body. Moreover, the base can act as a handle if you decide to thrust the plug in and out of your body.

The product page says that the Classic Butt Plug Junior is made of rubber. More specifically, the packaging states that the product is made of TPR and Doc Johhnson's Sil-A-Gel formula. While rubber is only rated a 3 on the EF material safety guide, TPR is ranked at 7 and Sil-A-Gel at 5.

TPR is a rubber polymer blend that is strong, yet flexible. It is somewhat porous and, therefore, condom use is suggested. This is particularly true if you are sharing this product with another person.

Sil-A-Gel is also somewhat porous, but is beneficial in the fact that it is anti-bacterial, non-toxic, latex free, and cadmium free. Condom use is also recommended for products comprised of this material. However, products made of Sil-A-Gel tend to collect lint quite easily.

Taking all of this into consideration, the Classic Butt Plug Junior is flexible and smooth, yet sturdy. It is somewhat porous and has a weird odor. While it can be smelled, I did not find it to be as overwhelming as some other reviews have deemed it to be.

The design of this product is pretty standard for a but plug. There is a tapered body, evenly rounded post, and a wide base. The plug starts out small and becomes wider, making insertion easy and painless. The rounded post assists in keeping the plug in place and the base will prevent the plug from being sucked into your body.

What I don't like was the indented Doc Johnson logo that is on the base. The reason that I'm not in favor of the logo is that it is hard to clean this region. Since the product is made for anal insertion, it is of utmost importance to sanitize the product. Based on the location of the indented logo, it is easy to get lubricant trapped in the area.



The Classic Butt Plug Junior measures 4.5 inches in length; 4 inches are insertible. At the widest point, the circumference is 3 inches.

Although the Classic Butt Plug Junior has an even, rounded post to keep the product in place, the plug didn't remain inserted. I think the reason is that the post is too similar in size to the widest part of the plug's body. The fact that I had to use lubricant with this product didn't help either; I am too uncomfortable to use it without lube. If you are able to do so, you may find that the product stays in place better.

Since the butt plug doesn't stay in place that well, it is not feasible to keep this product inserted during intercourse. However, I still have a use for this product. Since I am just beginning with anal play and need to stretch myself, I find this plug comfortable for when I am lounging around the house. I insert it and go about my business; in this case, it stays in place and gently stretches the muscles.

Additionally, I have stimulated myself by thrusting the plug in and out of my body. The tapered design makes this activity comfortable and painless.

More advanced users will most likely find this product too small.

The Classic Butt Plug Junior should be washed thoroughly with anti-bacterial soap after each use. Make sure you focus on the indented logo since excess lube can get trapped in this cavity.

As mentioned earlier, it is recommended that you use a condom with this product. However, I found this to be a bit hard to achieve since the product is so small. If you have small condoms, then you'll be fine.

The Classic Butt Plug Junior does tend to collect lint, so you'll want to store it in as clean of an area as possible.

The Classic Butt Plug Junior comes in a plastic package. The front is see through, so there isn't much discretion with this product. The packaging is pretty minimal and can be recycled.
