This plug is great for preparing for a larger toy, or by itself. The luxury of glass is that you can use any type of lubricant you want, and a little goes a long way. That being said, you apply a nice amount of lube, and with a significant amount of patience, this plug will pop into place. I personally had to warm up with Tantus' Ryder. After I got Sexy Spade comfortably inserted, I was amazed how every movement I made, zinged me with pleasure. I found that a slim dildo works great with it, but anything with substantial girth can cause discomfort. When inserting or removing, extra care is required, because it is can be a slippery little sucker. This lovely gem is perfect for temperature play, as the glass will conduct heat and hold on to cold, beautifully.

The Sexy Spade is made of lovely tempered glass (Pyrex glass). It rates a 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. It has virtually no texture to its surface. The only texture is where the color is on the head, and even that can only be felt with your finger tip and not seen. I didn't feel any texture, whatsoever, while wearing it. There is no taste or smell to the Sexy Spade, as it is made of glass. I would be extremely suspicious if it did. Since it is made of glass, it has no give whatsoever. So that is definitely something to take into serious consideration when considering a plug of this size. When using this plug, it's best to keep a towel on hand, since lube on your hands can make handling rather difficult for extraction.

*I test glass items by smacking them on wood tables. This one passed. I wouldn't being willing to throw it at a cement floor though.

The design of the Sexy Spade medium is very simple, albeit a large design. The tip of the head is conical and after it reaches its widest point, it tapers quickly to neck. The neck is wide, but very comfortable. The length is perfect for long term wear. It allows for a great deal of movement. For something as rigid as glass, this design allows the Sexy Spade to move with my body. Every step, every sit, stand, crouch, is extremely pleasurable. This plug blew me away. This is the largest plug I own, and it has allowed me to enjoy larger dildos and made anal sex a lot more pleasurable. The fact that the glass is clear, internally, from the tip to the base, makes for a great visual stimulant. I think this plug would be great for intermediate and advanced players only.

As I stated before, this is the largest plug I've ever attempted. I had to warm up with Tantus' Ryder, in order to get this bad boy in. The smooth glass surface, mixed with Maximus water based lube, allowed me insert it without too much trouble. When I first got it, I kept looking at it, and was scared of its size. Finally I womaned up, and prepared for battle. Since I did warm up, there was no battle, just insane pleasure. I wear plugs for upwards of 3 hours if my body allows it. My body LOVED IT! Walking upstairs to put away laundry was like ascending the stairway to heaven. I have honestly never enjoyed anything, anally, as much as I did this. Then to up it up a notch, I used Tantus' Anaconda. Something I'd never thought I'd be able to do. Since the Sexy Spade had opened me up for so long, the Anaconda was a breeze. Now the Sexy Spade is a must have for house work or prep work for larger toys. I honestly didn't think I would enjoy this plug as much as I have. Golly, I love it when I'm wrong!

Cleaning the Sexy Spade is a breeze. As it is glass you can use soap, toy cleaner, or wipes. You can sanitize by boiling, a 10% bleach solution, or running in the dishwasher without any soap. I personally use wipes or soap and water. I always boil new toys, straight from the package.

To store the Sexy Spade, I keep in in a small make up bag, that zips up. I keep it with all of my other glass toys, that are similarly stored and have had no issues. Not even a tickling of glass.

The packaging for Sexy Spade seems like it was made more for a store display, than for shipping across the country. All that holds the Spade in place is a flimsy plastic positioner. Still, it is a fun design and allows you to see your toy immediately. I wouldn't recommend it for storage. It's bulky, and a hassle to open and close. The side of the packaging has bullet points of how great glass is. The back has mission statement and an overview of the toy. If you don't care to keep the packaging, rest assured that it is recyclable.
