The Pure Plug 2.0 is a large anal plug that will work for many users. About the only people who wouldn't like the Pure Plug 2.0 are those for whom the feeling of having their anus held open or stretched is important, as the Pure Plug 2.0's neck is pretty small at the handle end. Those who like a heavy plug that moves when you do, enjoy temperature play, or want a plug with plenty of active play options will like the Pure Plug 2.0.

Insertion is straightforward. Provided you're warmed up enough, the lubed Pure Plug 2.0 will slide or wiggle into place with a minimum of fuss thanks to the slick stainless finish. Once in place, the weight of the Pure Plug's body causes it to move around and stimulate you as you move - but that isn't its only trick. The reverse-tapered, curved shaft makes the plug move as you contract you anus and pelvic muscles, sliding up and forward to stimulate the prostate or the forward wall of the vagina, and the handle is sturdy and easily accessible for some handheld play. The massive steel body holds heat or cold for a long time, making this good for temperature play.

The Pure Pluge 2.0 is made from stainless steel. It's heavy and almost mirror polished, the only texture coming from the elliptical shape of the plug's body and the four cutouts along the body (approximately 1/16 of an inch deep at the center). The firm material definitely adds to the stimulation of the Pure Plug 2.0, since it doesn't flex at all with movement.

The body of the Pure Plug 2.0 is an ellipse at its widest point, measuring 2 inches in one direction and 1-7/8 inches in the other. This maximum size is reached only an inch and a quarter from the rounded tip, and after the bulge the body falls off rapidly to the neck, which starts at one inch and tapers slowly along its length to a half-inch near the handle. Along the widest part of the body there are four cutouts to ease insertion and removal and to help ensure that the plug stays lubed.

The visual effect of the curved plug and long, tapering neck is that of a large tadpole that has somehow had a fish's tale grafted to the tip of it's own, and is a bit endearing in the flesh. The large oval handle serves as a flange and also has a hole big enough for two small-to-average sized fingers to slide through for insertion, removal, or just to give the plug a wiggle to increase the fun.

The large size, unyielding material, and rapid flare make the Pure Plug 2.0 a choice better reserved for those with plenty of anal experience.

The Pure Plug 2.0's design makes this a great choice for prostate play. The curved shape puts the body of the plug right up against the prostate about 2-1/2 to 3 inches inside the rectum. The reverse taper on the neck means that the Pure Plug moves in and forward as your anus contracts around the neck, increasing the fun - and if that weren't enough the handle is always handy for adding to the fun.

The cutouts along the body suggest that the Pure Plug 2.0 might be also useful for "juicer" type sensations, and I found this was possible with a few limitations. The handle shape is inconvienient to use if you're twisting the toy for an extended period, and the 1/16" ridges were pretty intense during use.

I also found a few other limitations of the handle during use. I have a small butt, with little cheek protrusion, and I found that the near inch and a quarter depth of the loop handle made it difficult to sit down with the plug inserted. While it wasn't immediately uncomfortable, I did find prostate soreness after wearing the plug sitting down, caused by excessive pressure.

I also found that the loop handle doesn't have too much extra room, and people with large fingers might not be able to put two fingers through it comfortably. The cause of this difficulty is the thick ridge on the front and sides of the loop - if this were filed off thinner then fingers would have more room. A more rounded front of the handle would also make it more comfortable to hold the handle during manual manipulation. As it is the ridge at the front can press uncomfortably against the fingers.

I found the Pure Plug 2.0 easy to insert for its size, secure (though I wouldn't wear it in public because of the handle), and stimulating.

The stainless material of the Pure Plug 2.0 is easy to care for. After use it can be washed with soap and water, and sanitized with boiling water if desired. You can also use a 10% bleach solution, but it's best to spray and rinse to prevent bleach from remaining in contact with the Pure Plug as the surface may pit.

Stainless steel is durable, but the polished surface of the Pure Plug 2.0 is surprisingly easy to scratch. It's best to keep it in a pouch or sock if it will be around hard objects or grit.

Stainless steel is compatible with all lubes, and can be warmed before use in a bowl of warm water (strongly recommended). If desired you can also cool it off with a bowl of cool water. Be careful about how hot or cold you let the plug get - it holds a lot of heat and can burn if you're not careful.

The Pure Plug 2.0 comes in nJoy's standard covered cardboard box, nestled in a pink cloth-covered styrofoam tray. It looks nice and is very tasteful, but the post office had been a bit rough with my sample so the box was crused on the edges and no longer as neat looking. The box would be more than adequate as a gift box, but is a bit fussy and likely fragile for long-term storage.
