Warm up your lady bits in the winter and cool them down in the summer with the Rainbow Heart! Glass toys dominate the world of temperature play. I generally just run mine under warm or cold water, though sometimes my Rainbow Heart does end up in the fridge. Generally, I try to stay away from freezing my glass toys because extreme temperature changes can cause the toy to break.

While most glass toys are functional for both sexes, I'm sad to have to disappoint both men and anal queens alike because the Rainbow Heart is just far too textured for comfortable anal play even with lubricant. Obviously, the Rainbow Heart is yet another pyrex glass toy. This material has a phenomenal amount of benefits from the ability to be sterilized to the amount of pressure that it can provide. Glass is non-porous, and due to the fact that it can be sterilized, it's the only type of toy that I would consider re-gifting to someone else. The longevity of glass toy when taken care of is incomparable. Glass also has no smell or taste, which I find to be a great benefit. After all, if you have ever used a toy with an obnoxiously strong odor, you know that it can be hard to stay turned on. You will never have this issue with glass. Finally, any and all lubricants can be used with glass if you are so inclined to use some.

The Rainbow Heart has intense texture. There are significant candy dot-sized nubs completely covering the Rainbow Heart with the exception of the handle. There are probably 70-100 nubs. Even with lubricant, the texture is not well-hidden. I love texture, but I only love certain kinds of textures. Too much ribbing or things spaced too closely can cause pain for me. The Rainbow Heart has well-spaced nubs with no tiny grooves in between.

I love this design! Thrusters unite and rejoice at the idea of putting a handle on a dildo! Texture lovers rejoice! Even toy collectors can rejoice due to the awesome aesthetics of this glass! The actual dildo is very straight, but the handle makes it capable of being steered toward the g-spot even if it doesn't hug it the way some of the curved glass toys do. The handle is both stylish (pink and heart-shaped) and comfortable to hold. The nubs on this toy are actually what make it so appealing to add to a collection. Red, yellow, green, and blue nubs come in waves to make this piece some serious eye candy. With the exception of the handle, the rest of the Rainbow Heart is clear. I've noticed in another review the mention of a seam, but there is no seam on mine down the length. There is some variation in the size and shape of the nubs, but I wouldn't call that an imperfection. As for bubbles in the glass, there might be a few about the size of the tip of a sewing needle, but I'm still not interested in calling this an imperfection. I expect that for this material at this kind of a price ($24.99).

This toy is awesome for vaginal thrusting. That being said, this Rainbow Heart is far too hard and textured to appeal to many in terms of anal play. The Rainbow Heart's texture also feels fantastic when the item is very sparingly lubed and run up and down the length of the vagina externally; it's practically man-made vibration. As another con, while this toy has a rather large handle, the awkward shape and lack of any real base means that this item won't be cozying up with a harness. Overall, I expected this toy to be a great vaginal thrusting toy, and it's performance exceeds my expectations in that area!

It's glass, so it can be sterilized. It can even be cleaned right in your dishwasher if you happen to have some private time to unload it. In addition, you can wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution, or you can wipe it down with antibacterial soap and water. I personally found this toy hard to clean in comparison with my other glass toys thanks to the abundance of nubs. Bodily fluids and other grime can easily hide around the nubs, and it requires a scrubbing from top to bottom with an old toothbrush in that case. The heart handle is also difficult to clean if lubricant or something else gets into the shape.

The Rainbow Heart is compatible with all lubricants, but remember: with a glass toy, too much lube can be serious trouble. Also, the lubricant used should match the action it is used for. For instance, many prefer silicone lubricants for anal play because they tend to be thicker. If this toy will be used in the shower, don't use water-based lubes. So it goes.

I personally store this toy with many of my other toys simply because it's shipped in a red bag and cushioned with bubble wrap. The bubble wrap makes it safe to store next to other glass items, but if you happen to have the extra money or Eden points, I would advise buying one of the padded toy storage bags.
