Would be fantastic if I wasn't allergic!

This toy is really great... if you don't have any sort of metal allergy. I knew I had a metal allergy from the start, but I didn't think that two sessions of 10-15 minutes each would produce such an intense allergic reaction. My vagina was not happy. Don't let this discourage you from buying. I was still very pleased before my vagina decided it was not a fan.

extremely useful review
Out of the two times that I actually got to use this toy, I thought it was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, my vagina does not agree with me. I've known for years that I have an allergy to certain types of metal. Honestly, I didn't even think about it when my boyfriend got it for me as a graduation present. Long story short- we used it, and the next morning my vagina was on fire! I thought I had a yeast infection. I bought the stuff for it and waited probably like 5 or 6 days to use the toy again, and behold, it happened again. I even used it without lube the second time to make sure it wasn't the glycerin in the one we did use. I don't use lubes with glycerin anymore after that, just in case.

Now, please don't let this discourage you from buying this toy. I happen to have a pretty bad metal allergy in general, and the reaction was purely my fault. For example, I get rashes from the rivets on some of my jeans. If you don't have any allergies, it really is a fantastic toy. I'm not sure if I would use it again with a condom because it's kind of a hassle, but I really do like the toy. I might put it up in the classified section for sale, or maybe trade it for a We-vibe Tango or something else of a similar price.

Disclaimer aside, the Metal Worx Curve is a polished steel toy (NOT stainless!) that is 10 inches long and dual-ended. The smooth end is fabulous for targeted G and P-spot stimulation and was highly successful at making me squirt with very little effort. The beaded end feels great either vaginally or anally, but I found it is a little less adept at finding the right spot than the smooth end. I also found that instead of using a thrusting motion with either end, it feels much better to do a rocking motion. It had a tendency to catch on my pubic bone while thrusting. I also found it pleasurable to use firm pressure and perform a "wind-shield wiper" motion or jiggle it around.

The weight of the toy is really nice. It doesn't feel too heavy, and I think it would take a long time for my hand or wrist to get tired. Although, I hear the Fun Wand is heavier even though it's smaller. I also like how firm it is in my body. It provides great pressure on my G-spot. The finish on my toy was absolutely flawless, but I know others had trouble with defects and flaking on theirs. I'm not exactly sure if it is a polished steel coating over another cheaper metal or not, but I do think some of their materials are questionable.

I like this toy quite a bit, but sometimes I feel the ball on the smooth end is a little too big for me. Part of me wants to try the Fun Wand by Njoy because it's a bit smaller than the Curve, but I don't want to waste my money on something that I'm allergic to. Although, the Fun Wand is made of different material.

Although I can't say much about the toy because of my short-lived experiences, it is still a pretty good quality toy that those without allergies cold probably get a lot more out of than I can. Although it's only about 10-15 dollars cheaper than the Fun Wand by Njoy, I feel that their materials are lacking in quality compared to Njoy. Based on that, I'm going to take two stars away for questionable materials and giving me a pretty intense allergic reaction. However, I will give one star back because I thoroughly enjoyed the toy before my vagina said “no way.”

Thanks for the review. It sounds like it was the perfect shape and size for you. If only you weren't allergic. Yikes. Sorry about the reaction.

Thanks for the review! The metal that Njoy is made of should NOT give you a reaction that this one did. It seems like you're allergic to copper, which I think is part of the metal mixture this toy is made of (hence why it tarnishes so easily) and hence why you're allergic to your jeans. The Njoy toys are entirely steel, which I believe is a nickle-silver blend. These are both hypoalergenic materials, which is why they are used on surgical instruments and why copper is not.

Stainless steel is a steel (made from iron and another element) where other materials have been used in place of carbon to make it corrosion resistant. Normally stainless steel has chromium and nickel in it. In other words, most stainless steel is a combination of iron, chromium, and nickel. Nickel allergies are out there and you may have one, so while this toy isn't considered stainless steel, stainless steel may not be your answer either. Sorry about your reaction and thanks for the great review.

While I haven't exactly pinpointed the material I'm allergic to, I believe it's between copper and nickel. Or possibly both! I also can't wear cheap earrings from Claire's or stores like that. I'll have to do some more research.... just not where my vajayjay is involved!

Thank you all so much for all the feedback and info!
