Use

These leather vampire gloves are amazing!

They can be used different ways for different sensations. If you're just looking for sensory play or teasing, light pressure while dragging the spikes across a less sensitive area of skin (like the back) can evoke intense arousal. For a little more painfully excellent adventure, gripping with more pressure, dragging spikes across sensitive areas of skin, or even slapping and spanking will cause pain and pleasure. Though be warned, enough force and pressure (like spanking) will cause the metal spikes to break skin. For this reason, it's a good idea to only use one pair of gloves per partner to avoid bloodborne pathogens, etc. Plus, it's just good hygiene common sense.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

Sometimes I feel like I have pretty big man hands for a girl; my fingers aren't all that long, but they're kind of thick. Ditto for my wrists. That being said, I looked long and hard at the sizes for these gloves before saying "the heck with it" and getting them in Small. Strangely, they fit perfectly. I even have a little wiggle room in the fingers. My guess, then, is that the sizes run a little big.

These gloves are surprisingly well made. The leather is good quality and the little metal spikes are not attached in any kind of half-assed manner. That being said, I found that it didn't take much pressure against individual spikes to make them bend easily. And it takes some pretty thin needle-nose pliers to get them unbent. My advice is to take care not to bend the spikes if possible. They won't bend during use since the pressure will be more evenly applied across the hand, but pressing individual spikes (or a small clump of spikes) can cause them to bend. It's nothing that cannot be undone, however, so that's the good news!

Overall, I'd say the craftsmanship of these gloves is high quality.

Performance

These gloves performed spectacularly! I found that they were comfortable for use on my hands; the insides are lined with soft material that didn't make my hands sweat or chafe. Getting them on and off was pretty tricky, though. The first glove went on easily. Because the little metal spikes are all along the inside of the palms and underside of the fingers (right up to the fingertips) however, it was pretty hard getting the second glove snapped around my wrist without stabbing myself. I needed a little help from my partner. The subsequent tries have been a little easier, as I've found a way to hold the snaps close together with my wrists against my chest while using the side of my finger to snap it closed.

Once the gloves were on though the experience was exceptional. The light caresses and scratching aroused my partner, and his arousal kept us both going. Neither of us has tons of experience with this kind of play, so we took things slowly to start. I think we were both surprised how exciting just dragging little metal spikes over sensitive skin can be.

Getting the gloves off once we were through with them required a little assistance, as well. I found that unsnapping them was easy enough on my own, but trying to pull them off without piercing the leather of the gloves or my hand was tricky. Again, on subsequent tries it was easier, but it is definitely a maneuver that requires practice.

Care and Maintenance

You'll want to be careful how you clean these gloves. Because they are made of metal and leather, they can rust and ruin. Spot treatments are recommended for anything that gets on the leather part, but if anything gets on the metal it can be trickier to clean. After all, the metal spikes are not very long, and there are many of them over the palms and the underside of the fingers. I would suggest keeping them dry and immediately wiping up any liquidy substances before they have the chance to ruin the gloves; worst case scenario, cotton swabs absorb quickly, have small heads, and will fit in awkward places (like around the small metal spikes).

For storage, I've found that keeping them in a small box, like a shoebox, is perfect. This will keep the gloves dry and help keep the metal studs from getting crushed and bent. Honestly, though, any box or storage bin with a lid is ideal for storing the vampire gloves.
