Leather vampire gloves - glove discontinued by Kinklab - review by Kitka

The Leather Vampire Gloves by KinkLab are designed with kinky folks in mind. The gloves are great for anyone who may like trying something new in the sensation play department. The metal prongs in these gloves make these good for scratching, spanking and gently grabbing specific body parts. Just keep in mind that these gloves may be too intense for some people to handle because of how prickly they are.

The gloves can be incorporated during sex if you enjoy that nails-down-your-back feeling, before sex to sensitize the skin or after as a way to start relaxing (if that works for you, of course) and are way more fun when used with or on a partner. You could also try them solo to get used to the prickly, scratchy sensation.

Design:

From the middle finger to the cuff of each glove measures about 8 1/2" long and across each glove from side to side is 3 3/4" wide. Each glove has four fingers and one thumb and there is a black-coated snap closure at the cuff/wrist. On the bottom side of each finger and thumb are three or four sets of 4-pronged spiky metal "scratchers". The scratchers are put in through the inside of the glove and poked through so that they stick out of each finger/thumb and then after that there is some kind of soft material used as the backing to keep the prongs in place. There is also a tag that lists size and Made in Pakistan on the inside of the right glove right at the cuff.

Craftsmanship:

The vampire gloves are well made for their intended purpose but they won't last a lifetime. With moderate use and proper care they should last a good long while, but not forever. The leather of each glove is easily scratched and the metal prongs bend very easily but that is pretty simple to fix if you have a pair of pliers.

Material: Leather and Metal

Leather is a water resistant material with a high tensile strength and high resistance to tear. It is phthalates free, soft, smooth, flexible and smells exactly like leather should; gamey and a little musty.

Metal is phthalates free with a firm, smooth texture. In this case the metal is pointy, shiny in appearance and the points bend easily. The metal really has no scent to it at all on these.

Size & Fit: Runs Large

The vampire gloves are available in Extra Small, Small, Medium and Large.

After reading some other reviews on these where they mention that these have a tendency to run large I chose the Extra Small. From my middle finger to my wrist is about 7" long and my wrist is about 6 1/2" in circumference. The Extra Small is a bit big on my hands but not so much that I cannot use these. I would suggest ordering a size smaller than you usually would so you don't get stuck with gloves that are really big and useless. These gloves are very comfortable and flexible when wearing and could be used for long periods of time if you so wish.

The vampire gloves work very well as intended. Scratching, spanking or gently grasping each other with these is very simple and gets a great reaction from your partner. Beyond good old scratching you could put them on before spanking your partner or gently grasp a breast or other specific body part of your choosing for that extra pokey sensation.

The gloves are very easy to put on and comfortable to wear, but the snap closure does not really serve much of purpose unfortunately. It does not make a difference in how tight the cuff becomes after snapping it closed, at least for myself that is.

These gloves hold up very well to having and using them for a few months.

The leather of these gloves can be cleaned using a damp cloth to wipe away dirt, etc. and the metal can be cleaned using an alcohol spray, pending a spot test on the leather of course.

It is not really recommended to use the gloves on more than one person without somehow sterilizing the metal prongs because these can draw blood quite easily. It may be easier to just buy more than one pair if you plan on using these with multiple partners and designate a pair to each one.

To store the gloves you can wrap them in cloth so as not to scratch up the leather or just put them in a drawer, on a shelf or in a storage container of some kind.

The gloves came plastic-tagged together inside a clear plastic bag. There was a tag that had "KinkLab", the size and some information about the gloves on it.

The packaging is very minimal, not great for long term storage but the bag should be recycled wherever possible. These should probably be wrapped if you're giving them as a gift since they are not really all that discreet.

Honestly I didn't buy these from Eden Fantasys because the hubby wanted a pair he could wear too but there aren't any in his size here.

My husband was the first one to experience vampire gloves when he went down to NYC to a play party with some friends. He loved them so much he decided he really wanted to get some to use on himself and some to use on me.

Most times when we use these it's the hubby using them on me. He will run them over my back, legs, sides and arms during play time or he'll spank me with them when we're having a bdsm session.
