Dragon silk wrist restraints - cuffs by Leatherbeaten - review by Greenleaf

The Dragon-Silk Wrist Restraints are a marvelous set of cuffs. They're absolutely gorgeous, with a great asian-inspired flair. These cuffs are wonderful for light-restraint scenarios, and are awesome for beginners as well as intermediate users or gentle advanced users. I wouldn't choose these cuffs for a heavy-duty scene, but for romantic and sensual use they're just perfect!

The design of the Dragon-Silk Wrist Restraints is pretty exceptional. The construction is sturdy and well-made. There are no loose threads or fraying on any of the joints or edges. The patterned silk exterior is stunning and gorgeous, and not scratchy like I thought it would be. The adjustable leather straps are smooth and silky feeling, and the inner leather is padded and soft. The cuffs even smell wonderful, with a clean leather scent. The connector ring is solidly seated and has stood up to fair amount of tugging and struggling. The sizing is adjustable, and worked for my feminine wrists, as well as my partner's chunky, masculine wrists. Unfortunately, they're not quite big enough to use as ankle restraints, otherwise I'd have bought a second pair!

The Dragon-Silk Wrist Restraints perform quite admirably. They're extremely comfortable and sensual to wear. While this might not be everyone's cup of tea for their bdsm play, it suits me and my partner quite well. We own a more "serious" set of cuffs for heavier enjoyment, but the Dragon-Silk cuffs are easily my favorites. They fit snuggly, but have a bit of give to them. If you have an escape artist on your hands, these may not be the best choice - I am easily able to wiggle out of them if I try since the leather is soft and has a nice amount of give to it. This isn't a downside for my partner and I though - I prefer to be able to get myself unstuck if need be. We use a simple metal connector/clip (shown below) or two with these cuffs, and they work just fine to tap wrists together or to posts, or anything else we've been able to think of.

The Dragon-Silk Wrist Restraints came in a simple plastic bag with a small paper insert with the name of the product and a little bit of supplemental information. The packaging is not discreet, and is very minimal. I personally do not think the packaging would be suitable for storage (any more so than a ziplock baggie) - I just store them in my lingerie drawer, and they've done fine so far.
