Intima silk blindfold by LELO - review by Girly Juice

The Intima is a silk blindfold from Lelo's line of sensual accessories, made to pair well with their sex toy lines. This blindfold can be bought either by itself or as part of a set - I received mine in Lelo's "Adore Me" set.

This blindfold has an elasticated back, so it is able to fit many different head sizes (theoretically - see my notes below about sizing).

It's easy to slip this blindfold on, and it doesn't require any knowledge of fancy knots or other advanced kinkster techniques, so this would be a good blindfold for a beginner to kink, provided they want something fancy rather than something cheap.

The Intima blindfold is made of silk, so it has a soft, smooth, cool, luxurious feel to it. It certainly feels nicer than the cheap fuzzy blindfolds you can pick up for $5 in the discount bin of practically any sex shop.

One side of the silk is smooth and patternless, while the other side has a subtle floral print that looks to be Japanese-inspired. It's all very classy-looking.

There is an elasticated portion in the back of the blindfold. This makes it easy to slip the product right over your head in a hurry. There are two long dangling silk ties in the back as well, but these are decorative rather than functional, as far as I can tell - the blindfold looks better when the ties are tied in a bow but it doesn't actually improve the function of the product in any way.

I have a smallish head and this blindfold fits me fine - it's comfortable and it covers my entire eye area. However, for my boyfriend, whose head is more on the average-to-large side of the size spectrum, this blindfold feels tight and restrictive. I would only recommend this blindfold for smallish women or really small men, at least in terms of head size.

For me, this blindfold achieves the desired effect: it stays put even when I'm thrashing around, it completely blocks out my vision, and it's comfortable enough to be worn even for longer sex sessions.

However, none of this is true for my boyfriend. His nose is bigger than mine so the blindfold doesn't completely block out his vision, and it's also too tight on his head so he can't wear it for more than a couple of minutes before it starts to make his head ache.

Normally I am a firm believer that Lelo products are worth their high price, but when it comes to Lelo's "sensual accessories" (blindfold, cuffs, impact toys, and so on), they mostly seem incredibly overpriced. This blindfold costs $55 by itself. You can get a bit of a better value if you buy it in the "Adore Me" set, because all three of the items in that set are discounted when bought together, but I still don't know if it's worth it, even at that price.

That said, some people really do want the best-quality items they can get their hands on, and this blindfold is pretty damn nice as far as quality goes. So if you have the money and you're willing to spend it, you might still enjoy this toy even though it's pricey.
