Less than safe and useful

If you don't know what you're doing with bondage, this is a bad item to start. You'll end up getting hurt and it will turn you away from getting into proper bondage. If you're going to get into bondage, pick up a book or take a class to learn to be safe.

Use

Alrighty then, this review is for the Beginner's silk rope kit. I first got the ropes having no experience with rope bondage at all, figuring they would be a good way to learn a little bit of rope bondage and have some fun. Sadly, these aren't good for either. The package comes with two six foot long, silky 3/8 inch ropes. Without knowing anything about bondage, they seemed okay though difficult to work with due to how thick the ropes were. Though following buying these ropes, I took a few classes on bondage and found out that the short length of these ropes can cause nerve damage due to the improper binding of wrists causing pinched nerves and blood flow. I personally wouldn't recommend these for anyone due to the dangers that can be unknowingly cause by using these ropes.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

I like the storage box that these ropes come in, it shows a picture of a couple using ropes in a sensual scene. The box is both well-made and good for storage of the ropes. Getting to the ropes; they are made of a smooth nylon material which makes the ropes harder to use due to the fact that the smooth material makes it so the ropes can either over tighten or loosen up very easily. Though they are made of nylon, they are made well with their thick, smooth weave and melted ends to prevent them from unraveling. There isn't much of a smell to these ropes because the material doesn't absorb much smell. Also, the size of these is just too short to be safe or useful. The ropes were too short for my wrists or the wrists of three girls I tried to use them on. These ropes are in most ways useless to most users.

Performance

These ropes met none of my expectations and left me very disappointed. I found it easy to slip out of the ropes as well as untie the knot just by putting some resistance on them. I also found myself and my partner needing to stop because the ropes would become uncomfortably tight around the wrist because we couldn't tie them correctly.
    • Difficult to put on / use
    • Does not work well

Care and Maintenance

I didn't bother figuring out how to clean this product because I hadn't used it much, but I would suggest just washing them in warm water with mild soap and dry in the sun or with a mild heat source.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store
