Naughty ruler - flogging toy by Ruff doggie styles - review by ViVix

First off, let me start with a little story. In previous times, I had purchased a paddle from EF that was rather disappointing. After that, I looked at floggers and paddles, but always found myself hesitant to buy anything. Then, I spotted this naughty ruler, and I thought "If a regular ruler hurts, this has to at least be somewhat efficient!"

The naughty ruler does, in fact, deliver quite a sting. It's also worth purchasing over a general ruler in that it's quite thick and comes with a wrapped handle for the user. If I ignore the slightly weird scent to the handle, I'm quite appreciative of it. The ruler is 12 inches long, just like a standard ruler, and it is 1.5 inches wide. The naughty ruler is about 3 mm thick though (quite a bit thicker than the average ruler).

My favorite thing about the naughty ruler has to be the humor involved. I mean, I can't be the only one who finds role play to be somewhat comical?! My old University used to have a principals and students frat party, and I can tell you that it was both rather sexy and rather funny. The same can be said with this ruler. It even has a little naughty ruler tag that has an apple and doodles drawn on it, and the back says "Do you measure up?". My least favorite thing has to be that the wrap on the handle actually tore as I peeled off the plastic wrap covering. I actually found myself wondering if it was supposed to stay covered because it tore pieces out of the handle, but I truly believe the plastic wrap was meant to be removed. The material says the handle wrap leather on EF, but I don't think it's actually leather. It doesn't have the leather smell.

The naughty ruler definitely works for all of its intended uses: role play, pain, pleasure. It even makes a quite satisfying noise when it comes into contact with its intended target. It's also smooth, which keeps your butt/other random body parts splinter-free!

I do want to note that this item won't be cleaned. If you plan to spank any area that might be covered by lube or bodily fluids, you'll want to take note that this is truly made of wood and can't be sanitized or even cleaned exactly.

Finally, this ruler is an awesome toy to pack or store. Sure, the handle covering might give away the inappropriate level of this toy. However, the toy is still flat and easily stored. It also has no metal pieces to set off any metal detectors. It's even firm enough to survive the bottom of the bag!

Quite frankly, the "leather" around the handle is falling apart (it's seen very little use on top of that), and it's just about the same as a regular old wooden ruler now. Pick up a paint stir stick from your local hardware store, and save yourself the expense!
